Is the Robot Hero worth crafting?

I’m waiting on buying the diy recipe until I have the 30 rusted parts needed for the robot hero (I don’t want to wall my parents with Nook’s asking for a robot hero in the hot items list). I’m excited to get one to go along with my monster statue but otherwise I wouldn’t bother making more than one.

I'll hook you up with the 30 rusted parts.

I think it's unfair to say the people who have it legitimately are people who dupe the items. You could also get the parts from trades or from time traveling. Time travel is a legitimate way to play even if it's not your preferred way to play.
Time traveling to get rusty parts isn't the same as duping. You can't get the rest by TT. It's easier to dupe the rusty parts, gold, and every other crazy thing that this DIY needs. It should had never been so excessive with parts.

You can get more gold by TT cause it resets the rocks on your island so you can keep hitting them for gold. Besides there are people here that sell gold nuggets for tbt and the recipes for the rocket. If you get gold nuggets even just one from trades, it adds up.

It looks neat, but I doubt I'd ever actually use it anywhere. Seeing so many duped out there in the marketplace adds to my disinterest.

Oh wow, learn something new everyday. Not about the trading, I mean the rock spawns being pre-set.

I didn't say the rocks are preset. I said they are reset. The more often you hit the rocks, the more chances you have to get gold nuggets. If you are time traveling, might as well hit them. This is easy if you set up the rock garden where all they close together

for a sec i got really excited.

Yeah it looks like it'd work great for a Gundam theme or something of that sort. It really should had been a Nook purchase with Godzilla. Whatever way you go about collecting all the materials, I just can't see the end game being worth it. I'd rather spend 5000 NMT than spend so much time collecting, trading, or whatever.

I wasn't going to bother even trying to build a robot hero with how much you need to make it (plus 50 customization kits to change the color, yikes). I did win one in a giveaway, which is why I have one at all. It's honestly so big and clunky that I wouldn't build it unless you know for sure what to do with it.

Probably not unless you plan on using it for something. Maybe if you made an arcade area or some outdoor movie place, you could put Godzilla and the Robot Hero around there.

It's a lot of materials. I've got a deal with my son that we'll make it together, we'll split the materials between us, I'll make it so I get the tick in my DIYs and he can have it on his island. We're up to about 10 rusted parts each so far so getting there. I got the rocket recipe last night from Celeste so haven't got that problem anymore!

Having a checkmark on all your recipes is satisfying, and I think something as demanding as that is a nice goal to have. Makes a great gift too.

I don't have an interest in crafting it because I can't see myself ever using it on my island. Not that I have a theme or anything, but it really doesn't match the aesthetic of everything else that's there. I'm also not too concerned about having a 'completed' craft list or anything like that.

Tbh I don't like the look of it (though I like the monster statues) but I've crafted 2 just to keep in storage in case I ever need them

i think it's a fun item to have just as a sort of trophy! if you can find a place to display it it's a super satisfying thing to have lol. attaching my little forced perspective lookout area (area itself is wip) that BARELY matches my island theme but i'm still super happy with ^o^

you can also use multiple characters to get rusted parts faster!! i have 3 residents and it was very speedy to have 2 of them help gulliver/arr and have the 3rd one dig up all 5 parts but leave them in his inventory to rust. takes only 6 visits instead of 30! (or in my case...5 plus a bit of trading.)

if you REALLY want to speedrun the robot and don't mind missing out on gulliv*r's stuff then you could help him with just your main character and then let the parts all rust with as many side characters as you have. done in just 2 or 3 visits that way, maybe even one! you don't even need to set down your side characters' tents to do this, they can still be living in resident services lol. good luck robo-likers

Looks cool but I have no place for it. Which is for the best, since it will take ages to collect all the rusted parts.

I kind of want to build one just for the sheer status of it, but I have no idea where I would put it. I would have to do some major rearranging and idk if it’s worth it to me.
