People's faces don't normally swell up when they are stung by a bee unless they are allergic to them, and considering the fact that this game doesn't give you access to medicine unless you upgrade your shop or have an Uchi villager which are usually the 6th villager that moves in because Uchi are rarely(if ever) starters. You get stung by a bee, you allergic, you're screwed.

This game is more dark than we first anticipated.......

Yeah I said I was leaving but I just had to ask this.....

Obviously, it's just for show.
A sign you've been stung, and need medicine or to restart and heal.

This game isn?t dark; it is Animal Crossing. You?re just looking too much into things. Being stung by a bee and having your face swell up is just to simply show that you were stung by a bee and nothing more. They wanted to make it evident; nobody would buy medicine for their character if the face was not exaggerated.

I think it is definitely dark. It reminds me of what happens when you go into Resetti's Lair on a Friday the 13th. The game allows you to open up the bathroom stall, and it leads deeper into a cave where Resetti is roasting the corpses of villagers you have kicked out of your town.

I don’t think the younger audience (under the age of thirteen) would be capable of thinking so dark. We can definitely let our imaginations run wild and look deeper into things. It does make the game more interesting. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, I personally like how Redd’s is in a dark alley in the corner; it makes him seem even more shady.

Considering the “bees” are actually Japanese giant hornets, and you get swarmed by a ton of them, it doesn’t seem too unbelievable to me ^^; And villagers that aren’t uchi can give you medicine if you’re good friends with them :)

Oh come on, its ME, Im practically KNOWN for looking too much into things in this game. LOL
But I understand what you're saying. I write books in real life so my imagination can be a bit out there lol

Remind me not to mess with those bees. Scary. And really? I did not know that. Interesting, I guess Ill try to be friends with all my villagers just so I can get free medicine. LOL

Yeah, I’ve gotten medicine from characters like Bones before. He gave me medicine. Granted, it was after I’ve obtained his picture by not going through April Fools Day. I obtained his picture legit, so I was pretty good friends with him.

There are definitely some interesting things about the Animal Crossing series!

If only that were true. :)

I would have to agree you are probably overthinking things. And swelling isn't necessarily a sign of an allergy in and of itself; bees have venom, your body reacts to that regardless of whether you're allergic or not

Is that real?

At least you can still move around after being stung. Meanwhile the scorpion very nearly kills you!

Okay, I’ll see myself out. I don’t know why I let AccfSally bother me.
