is the crown a female type clothing?

Ive had several people tell me the crown is for girls...i assumed it was unisex due to my characters walk cycle not changing...
I didnt want the royal crow because i thought it was a bit much...and it covers my hair

Your walk cycle only changes if you have a dress/skirt on. I don't think it counts for other things.

I'm not sure if the game counts the crown as an item that's "for girls" or not, but honestly what does it matter? If you're a boy and you want your character to wear a crown, then the crown can be for boys too!

Katrina sometimes specifies unisex, women's, ect clothing items as lucky for the day.

I think that it is unisex because the Royal Crown is often associated with Kings, while the regular Crown is associated with Queens, Princesses or Princes

I've always considered it feminine - as far as I remember Sable says that is for girls but boys can wear as well (the same that is said for all clothing/accessories that is gender allocated).
I checked Liquefy's faq & his item list does have the crown recorded as feminine.

Shrug, doesn't matter, wear what you want.
I sometimes wear the halo - that I think is unisex.

I think it is thought of as more feminine, but who cares? If you want to wear it then that's your business. In Animal Crossing you can wear anything you want.

The one in your profile pic? Labelle says it's a feminine product. There is a male version for the crown. It's a bulkier, bigger one (it's a lot uglier in my opinion). I think it's called the royal crown?

Is there something wrong with being gay or a girl? Nope! That means theres no reason to get funked up by it. Being gay or a girl isnt bad, i get my being a bit bothered by it since its not who you are but saying your hurt is a bit much.

anyways, im gay and i love dressing up in all the fem clothes. i am literally never not wearing a dress in acnl

My character's a dude and I'm a girl. When I let children or friends borrow my Nintendo for a bit they always give me strange looks. Don't let them get to you. You have preferences. Express what you like -- not what everyone says you should like.

One of the reasons i like it because im the mayor...i run the place basically...so a crown fits well...but if i wore the royal crown(pretend that the villagers are sentient for a sec) its be HUGE and i wouldnt seem as approachable and very Bossy looking.i rhink the small crown gives off a "yea im the mayor and i help my villagers" while the royal crown gives off more of a "I RULE WITH AN IRON FIST. NO YOU GET ME AN APPLE PEASANT!"

Technically, Labelle says its an Item for Females, but I see Male players wearing it. Its Funny because the Royal Crown is Unisex xD
