Is Now A Good Time to Buy A Wii U?

Now is a good time! I was worried the console's lifespan was already coming to an end when I received it for Christmas this year, but with so many new games coming, it's gonna be way too hyped up to be dying. Mario Party 10 is probably gonna boost sales a ton, and I'm personally excited for Yoshi's Woolly World. And, chances are that the next AC title is gonna be on the Wii U, so as of now, having one is basically vital! It's got, at very least, more than 3 years left in it until they even consider making an upgrade, probably.

There are a bunch of great games for the Wii U so I would say yes. Although, I have had Smash Bros. since December and haven't been able to play it since I refuse to use the Gamepad. I'm praying they release the Gamecube Adapters again because I need to use those controls. My only other complaint is the Gamepad itself. Some games you just want to use the Wii Remote and you're stuck with the Gamepad. Plus, it's always on wasting battery. Other then that, it's a lot of fun.

btw you don't need an adapter to use the gamecube controller. you can plug it into your wiimote.

and like I said, the N3DS has been the ONLY actual upgrade since the system first released in 2011.

I'm really baffled by how many people can't seem to figure this out, despite repeating myself over and over.

Depends what you mean by an upgrade because a lot of people would count something as simple as a larger screen as a worthwhile upgrade.

But still, the 'new' 3DS is a 'necessary upgrade' in the sense that it has exclusive games, where as whether or not I buy the inevitable PS4 slim won't really matter as all PS4 games will still run on all PS4 systems regardless of what version it is.

That's the thing with consoles, you buy one and you expect to not have to 'upgrade' it until its successor comes along which is the advantage consoles have over a PC, you know you can play all games on that platform regardless of what version you own. The 'new' 3DS kind of ****s on that idea.

The nunchuck socket I'd assume. Correct me if I'm wrong

I think she means that you can use your wii remote as an alternative to the game pad
