I look at my town map, and I want to path it but I don't really find a reason for it...
Everything is already kind of distinguishable but what do you think?
Also I think any paths you lay down will have to wind around a bit -- paths don't really seem necessary.
if you want to do some decorative paving in a few areas, you of course could, I've seen really neat stuff done with those. But actual paths from place to place -- doesn't seem needed.
My town *sort of* looks the same in regard to where the houses are placed, etc. Here is a pic of my map:
Everything looks like its all over the place but I still think my paths look good, I'd actually prefer to have my town this way than to be in perfect, boring alignment.
If you'd like to check out my dream town to see what my paths look like the code is in my sig.
(town isn't completely done, theres a few spots where there is no path, or trees in the way, etc, I was actually on my way to go chop & fix that now lol)
My town map is pretty similar- the river doesn't go up quite as far on the right, and the bridges are in different places. I have a kind of giant figure-8 path going on, with little branches leading to various places.
If you wish you could add some, but I really like the layout of your town very pretty. You could just do flower paths, so flower outlines and whatnot and eventually get natural paths.
I had a little play in your town via dream suite and came up with a mockup of how your town can be paved:
Single lines are paths that are one tile wide, while double lines are paths that are 2 wide; the large rectangle at the top circles a pattern stump leaving a one tile gap and the small rectangles at the bottom surround the pair of lamps.
Its a bit confusing and the alignments are out a bit but if you like it perhaps I can come round your town and I can show you the layout. PM me if you're interested!
