is Lobo really that unpopular/ugly?

I posted this because I noticed while browsing hundreds of animal crossing art, Lobo somehow has to be there, I also see him in a lot of dream lists and that's why I find it weird that he's barely worth a million here and is barely popular? is it just in here?......
and I wonder why he's not doing as well as the other wolves, is he really that ugly or uninteresting?

Yea he's over shadowed by Fang and Chief. Same how Colton is over shadowed by Julian, Filbert by Marshal, etc.

Lobo's great! I was genuinely surprised when I saw he was only considered a (low) Tier 3-4.
Like the above users said, he's only considered a "low tiered" villager because most players would usually go for the other wolves who completely overshadow him.

kyle is 'rattier' looking than lobo but people like him because hes a smug and he has a very nice colour palette/appearance.

I've had all of the wolves except for Whitney in my cycling towns and Lobo has been the most difficult to find a home for,even as a giveaway.I think there's too many cranky wolves in the game and Lobo gets bumped down to the bottom rung because he's not as attractive as the others.

the funny thing is, Lobo is probably the most "wolf" looking out of the wolves...
as much as I love Wolfgang he looks more like a dog than a wolf, Chief looks like a fox, Fang looks too cutesy and feminine for a male cranky, Kyle looks like a hayena, Freya is pink, Skye could pass as other animals than wolf, Whitney yes is a wolf but could also pass as an arctic fox so...

I forgot to mention that Lobo's House is amazing, I just love the theme and KK safari :3

I really like Lobo, I'd have him in my town if I had more room. He doesn't seem to be that unpopular (compared to some other wolves, maybe, but not overall) since he's Tier 3.

Lobo is awesome! I've had him twice before, but I ended up resetting those towns, after adopting him out, of course.
Croque is also really hated for some reason. I love Croque. He's so awesome and adorable. Ren??e is awesome too, but everybody LOVES Merengue...because she's a strawberry shortcake...Static is overshadowed by Marshal...There are a lot of really great and adorable low tiers, but they're all overshadowed by the others. I don't even understand why people are so hellbent on having the same villagers that everybody has.
Anyway...I digress.

i love almost all of the wolves and lobo has to one of my top three (chief and whitney being number 1&2) but i've never seen the appeal of wolves like fang and wolfgang (wolfgang's popular right??) i guess the majority like fang's aesthetic

I would have to agree along with computertrash and fashions. He looks very cute to me and I've actually seen people looking for him. But everyone has their own dislikes and likes in villagers so that might be the case.

I had Lobo and I tried to sell him but he was really hard to sell so eventually I just let him leave my town...
Selling other villagers who are well known and fairly popular (ie Lucky who sold for 8 mil)
Seems a lot easier.

oh, so I guess that's the reason (being overshadowed by 3 other cranky wolves) which is bad from Nintendo's side, they shoulda given the wolves a variety of personalities (I believe fang would make a good smug and chief would make a good jock). I didn't think about it before it got mentioned here :3

are you sure? because non of tier 1 villagers is pink.....or fluffy (just Marshal)

It was more of a statement in which direction the general population seek their villagers. Not those exact specifications.

I've seen a poll about genders, age and if you compare those with the popularity list it's clear why the popularity list for villagers looks the way it does. I generalize a bit, but ah well

I like Lobo, him and Freya are my favourite wolves and I was so lucky to get them in my second town.
Sometimes peoples' tastes can vary strangely, I thought Goldie was a very popular villager but I couldn't even give her away the other day.
