Is it worth rebuilding my town?

I've been playing Animal Crossing for nearly 6 months now, and built some really strong relationships with my neighbours. But then this villager moved right in front of my town hall! I can't be bother to force him out because that'd take too long. Some of my other villagers have also built their house on really inconvenient places. I can't just make them move out one by one.

Do you think it's worth rebuilding my whole town because of this?

Well, not just because of that.

But I would just start ignoring the villagers you want to leave. If you are just plain bored of your town, then I would reset, but if it's just that, then I wouldn't.

Hope this helped!!

imo this seems a little trivial to start over for. If you're just wanting a fresh start then by all means reset, but for the villager houses you could always use amiibo and plot reset.

What do you mean by that? I used an amiibo card to force out a villager, but the amiibo villager built their house on the exact same place as the old villager >.<

On top of forcing villagers out, with the update villagers no longer move on-top of pattern pieces (paths, qr codes, etc.) as long as there's space for them to move in elsewhere. Put patterns on the ground in areas you don't want villagers. Once people are all moved-in where you want them, you can pick up the pieces~ <3

Don't reset just for their plot. :p
Surely they will have to move someday...
Olivia's is front of mine and she's one of my favorites right now. :p
If she moves I hope someone would take her. :)

How do I put a QR code on the ground? Sorry I'm not familiar with all this ;-;

It's alright! I phrased it a bit strangely, too. Go in to your patterns while your outside and just select "display on ground" that's what I'm doing in my town right now, too! :D

How? I've never heard of that :o

Plot Resetting enables you to decide where a new Villager that is moving into your Town places their house.

Every time you ask a Villager to move in through trades, amiibo cards or just random move ins, they will move in at 6am the next day.

Plot resetting is basically waiting till 6am and then instead of loading your Mayor (which saves your current state) Click 'new save' and create a new character in your town, go through the conversation with Rover and look around your town for where the Villager has plotted, if you're happy, speak to Isabelle and then Nook - then Isabelle again and save, if you're not, turn the game off (without saving) and make a new character again and again, finding where the Villager plotted until you're satisfied with it.

Oh right, thanks for letting me know about this! ^.^

Right, I see - wish I'd known this earlier! Thank you so much for telling me about this!

No problem! I can't stand when villagers move in front of buildings! I just completely gutted my village to put down paths and fake grass to map out where villagers can put their homes (I have so many rocks and ponds it was awful placing pwps), but that was honestly over-kill. Good luck with your town! I hope you get it set up just how you want it! <3

I don't think it's worth resetting. You may even turn out to like the placement in time but otherwise you can do as others suggested and force them out with amiibos and then plot reset.

Ruby once moved in right between my town hall and my train station. I didn't even think there'd be enough space for her to be there. She moved out and it felt weird for ages going past there and not seeing her house.

I wouldn't rebuild if it was the only factor. I've had villagers move in bad spots and yeah it irked me a bit. But I just tried to work around it.

Yes plot resetting is a life saver. Don't be discouraged if they don't move their place a few times, it's gotten harder for them to move since the update but they will choose a different spot eventually! To get villagers to move out fast I would reccommend tt 6 days forward and then, in theory, a villager should ping you. Let them go if you don't want them or keep them. Go back 6 days, tt forward 6 days, rinse and repeat. The reason you would tt back is so that villagers won't ignore you if you don't talk to them. Put those paths everywhere! I put them every 2 squares in my town like this:

O= 1 square
X= path

OXOOXOOXOOX
OOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOO
OXOOXOOXOOX

Oh also villagers will move into any open 3 x 3 space so be careful! You can literally put paths all over your town so you can basically puck where you want your villagers to plot with about an hour of placing paths.
