I payed off all my home loan to unlock the theme challenge. I picked trendy because most of my rooms are trendy except for my main modern wood room, and my snowman room. Also my house exterior is mainly fairytale. Should I bother making my house something I don't want? Or should I not even bother with the theme challenge.

All I really want is for my HHA points to show up on my card.

Do it for the gold house pieces. And then revert your house back to the way it was.

Nobody even looks at the HHA points. They'll know when you completed the challenge when you have a gold house

i'd do it. i have an antique/fairytale theme except i can't fill up the whole house because some of the sets look too girly though :/

I don't really want a gold house. I just want the points on my card

I did the fairytale theme challenge and hated how it made my house look. As soon as I had the complete exterior, I emptied out half the rooms. IMO, it's more worthwhile to have a house you like than the points. If you're looking for some kind of challenge, though, it will definitely keep you occupied.

I was really disappointed and hated the golden exterior... But in my old town I wanted all of it to be a completionist.
Now, I am only doing it to unlock the golden roof and door to go with the house design I want.

... And no one really goes by HHA pts in my opinion.
I have street/spot passed people with really high pts and their homes were awful...
And ones with low pts that I loved.
It's just a number...

I've actually wondered this myself. I bothered with it, but I didn't exactly change my house. I feel like paying off the debt is challenging enough, and then collecting the right pieces for what you want to make within.

The only reason I ever did it was because most of the rooms in my house had a fairytale theme anyway, so I didn't really have to change much. I don't really think it's worth it though. It seems more like something to do once you've completed everything else in the game and need something new to do.

I might do it, but only if the regular furniture I pick gets me close to the score I need. I don't want to rearrange my house. (It's already a mess from the 150k point challenge.)

I have no interest at all in the gold exterior but took the fairytale challenge because it fits most of my house.

I believe I have a pretty decent score but I don't check much because I don't want to change the exterior.

I guess I'm just doing the same thing that you're doing now so I'd say keep your house as is.
