Is it possible to remove the reese&cyrus plate from villager homes?

Yesterday and the day before, I held wedding parties, and over the course of the two days, all of my villagers were gifted the plate from reese and cyrus. Is there a way to get rid of this? I'm willing to time travel to do it if that's what it takes but I have yet to time travel so I don't want to do it for nothing. If anybody knows of a way to permanently get rid of the plates, please let me know.

my guess is since it is a seasonal item, once wedding season is over then they’ll take it down, like wreaths and stuff.

raymond had one but it disappeared when i time travelled to july so i think they only keep it during june ☆

Gah I know this frustration! Some people have mentioned that TTing back a day and TTing forward a day removes them, but it has yet to be confirmed if this removes them permanently
I guess an option is to gift the villagers items of the same size (1x1) to try to override them.
I personally am too lazy to try any of these methods I decided to just embrace it and take it as a cool little thing that my villagers and I share for going to the same awesome party

I saw everyone have it displayed at some point but they all seemed to have reverted back to their regular furniture today.

It is temporary, it will be removed (permanently) when you go into July.

Well... yesterday, when I visited Rolf's house, he replaced the plate with a fish I gifted him last month. The plate was a better display.

Not on my island they can’t.

To the OP: I TT ahead a day and then back and they were gone. A couple of days later, they’re still gone.

I think I saw on a similar thread that a couple people tried TTing a couple days forward and they had removed it. So I think they only display it for a few days! I TTd into a different month trying to get a villager out and no one had it in September at least!
