Is it possible to make your tree grow via TTing?

I'm currently restarting my second town, but my town tree isn't big enough to sit on. Is there a way to make it bigger faster? ;v;''

According to my little brother's town, absolutely. That tree is a monster. I don't even know what the date is in his town anymore.

I think it grows based on the number of days played and hours. So at 50 days or so you can sit on the tree but if you only played lets say 3 hours and just time traveled for 50 days then it won't grow....I think

yeah as mistymayz said u have to have played a certain number of hours and days for it to work. but if youre only missing the days then sure. otherwise idk u could leave your 3ds on overnight for a few days and then tt lots and maybe it will work then :<
