Is it possible to change your villagers wallpaper/flooring?

My three villagers moved in and the inside of their houses are really plain. Can you change their wallpaper and flooring?

I don't know, I'm trying to figure this out myself. For my Uchi I gave her some furniture to spruce up her house, and she actually displayed it. But my jock only displayed 2 items out of the 5 I gave him. I gave my Uchi some wallpaper yesterday, but she hasn't used it yet. I also gave her some cool flooring today. So far, nothing, but I'll keep you updated.
