Do the peppy villagers seem to be bigger jerks than the snooty villagers?

It's not just you, I've noticed this as well. My starting snooty was much friendlier than my starting peppy, who took forever to be nice to me. I got a peppy for my town that I really wanted, and even though it's been months, I don't interact with her much because she annoys me. It's sad because there are more peppies than snooties whose house and design I like.

I have never really found any Uchi to be jerks. They tell you how to fight, and tell it to you strait which I like better than the whole 'lie to make you feel better' thing. I love them so much! Tomboys FTW!

Peppys...."You're the center of attention around here. That's supposed to be MY job!"

I've never really noticed or paid much attention to that tbh. I guess because of knowing how obsessed they are with their nonexistent stardom.

But I do remember there being multiple times early in that I kinda just wanted to backhand the uchi. Though I've had all my main villagers for so long now that this "problem" doesn't really show up anymore.

I think that the bigger problem is with the grouchy/cranky/whatever characters to be honest. They're supposed to be huge jerks that ever so slowly warm up to you. But on the day Kabuki finishes unpacking, he goes out and showers me with misty tees and gas pumps on my first conversation with him. They are WAY too friendly. Peppy characters are the real jerks while everyone else wants to jump your bells right off the bat. It's really frustrating because I liked what a sourpuss Kabuki was (cat pun intended).

I find them still cranky and a bit jerkish, but just a bit more mellowed out.

Yeah, Peppy and Snooty are pretty jerkish. I'm fine with Uchis, the only way I find them a jerk is when they force you to take their items when you really don't want it... I have an Uchi, Katt right next to my house, pings most of the time I start up the game and does this...its very annoying. When I say no, please listen to me when I say no.

I was so relieved when I noticed the snooty characters aren't rude jerks in acnl. I couldn't stand them in City Folk to the extent that I find it impossible to like the snooties I had in CF even though they're much improved. I don't like the uchi personality. The peppy personality is more like a "self centered" personality imo.

I consider Uchi, along with Cranky ti be the best

I agree. Snooty villagers should be renamed "Mature". I have a hard time liking Peppy villagers... they're too self-centered for me.

Actually, this. "This guy again." It's rude when the uchis say that to your face. It's like they are actually bothered when you talk to them.

Some of the other villager types throw a little shade around sometimes to the other villagers (like when a peppy comments on a snooty's bad gift wrapping skills, and then the snooty disses them back by commenting on that peppy's outfit) but at the end of the day they all end up getting along, and in my opinion nothing as rude as what I just mentioned about the uchis saying to you.

For me, not really. Chrissy has always been nice to me... Despite being self-centered. She always mentions how good friends we are and how I'm 'her star'. I have to agree that the snooties are quite nice. I had willow move in once and I thought I wouldnt get along with her but she was actually really nice.

I think what I hate about them is their initial dialogue. The other personalities can be rude to you before you befriend them, but they also say things that are amusing and make me want to talk to them more. Peppies are funny only because they think they're big stars, but their dialogue is just so unfunny and repetitive most of the time that befriending them is like a chore.

I never thought that Uchis were rude, I love their personality and attitude, even when they're being rude or annoying.

Yeah, I feel like peppies are self-centered, but they try to be nice. I have two peppies, Bunnie and Rosie. I've felt that Bunnie will always be nice to me, considering she was a starting villager for my town, but Rosie seems like she's more vain than Bunnie. xD
