Is it just me or is Bob and Diana love declining

I'm not sure I understand. Diana and Bob are some of the most popular villagers and there are loads of people who have them as favorites?

Bob specifically has many fans who have nostalgic memories of him dating back to ACGC, myself included, and Diana is consistently in top 10 lists in popularity rankings.

It's probably just me then, with all the raymond craze I rarely see people saying diana is their favorite, Diana is mostly the thing.
 
Bob is definitely still popular. I have noticed Diana isn't talked about as much, but the game kind of forces the first five personality types into your town, so Snooty/Cranky villagers in general tend to be less popular just because of that. I'm sure once people get into the swing of having villagers move in and out, they'll become more popular.
 
I love Diana! She's my new favorite deer. While attempting to hunt for Raymond, I couldn't pass her up! 😆
 
I personally didn't know about getting amiibo campers in New Leaf, so I valued the characters far more in that game. Villagers have become much, much more of a commodity in this game, in my opinion... I would prefer no amiibos personally.
 
I feel that from the deers, I've seen a lot of people loving Diana, and in terms of cats, besides Raymond, Bob is one of the cats I've seen more content about. I don't think they are declining in popularity, is more like people keep making threads and threads about:

Omg why is X so popular?
Do you have this X popular villagers in your island and why?

And we all know who those threads are targeted to, let's not lie to ourselves

End note: While I prefer Fauna, or I think so, Diana is beautiful, kind of an elegant design, and I'm a big fan of Raymond's and Punchy's half circle eyes and Bob happens to have those, so I actually like him too.
 
Diana cute! Kinda regret not getting her the 7 times I saw her on mystery tours lol.

To be fair , every villager that is not Raymond , Sherb or Audie have been pretty ignored , so I think finding someone who has a favorite villager that is not one of the animals I mentioned is a bit rare.

anyways diana , audie and marina besto queens.
 
Not really, I have a few friends who have both and love them! Both Diana and Bob are permanent stays on their island. Once I cycle out some villagers I'll be looking for them too :)
 
I feel they're about the same still on popularity. All I know is I have them both, and they're two of my favorites. At some point I may let Diana go after getting her picture though.
 
I LOVE Bob. Always have, always will. And honestly, Diana has really, really grown on me. I never cared for her much in NL, but I never personally had her until now. When I found her I was like, 'ehhhh she's popular I'll take her so I can maybe trade for someone else.' Fast forward to today and I'm finding it harder and harder to let her go. She's adorable and her character design is unique. Needless to say, my signature needs some updating!
