Is getting a second game worth it?

Lately I've been considering buying a second acnl game. Everything's all paid off in mine. I love meeting new villagers, but there are like 7 in my town I'm definitely not ready to get rid of. Is getting a second game to have a second town worth it? Is it a good time or will the novelty of it wear off? Any other pros or cons?

Thanks!

I don't know lol It probably would get old because you already have the exact same thing. I was considering getting a new game when the NN3ds comes out in America so I could transfer all my villagers to a new town and like perfect their plots or whatever but.. i feel like i don't have the energy to do that lol

we'll see, cause i literally just bought a second one today. (whaaaat, it was on sale! i found a check in a drawer! i'm responsible with my money!!) i think it could be fun!! i do a lot of time traveling in my town and i've been working on getting it perfect and pristine - to the point where i'm not really having fun with it anymore

so i figure, get a second file, start from scratch and do it right this time.

what's cool is, whenever i restart games, i never get through it because i miss the sense of accomplishment from having everything done. so, in keeping my old game, i get to keep all the villagers i love, keep my kickass houses and town planning; while having a new experience!! i'm looking forward to it!!!

If you want a second town, then by all means go ahead. If you just want a second game just because you want a second game, then I would reconsider your decision. But hey that's you, not me. So do whatever you want.

I want one, but I probably never would get a second copy.
Yet if you want a second, go for it!
I just feel like it would work out one of these two ways:

1. ACNL would consume my life way more than it already does.
2. The second copy wouldn't get played.

But dude if you want one go for it. :)

Hi, I found it use full too have two copes of the games ,But it can be hard to finsh all the task as you have to take care of both town .

I found it worth having a second game, though it does sometimes get unplayed if I'm busy but I always end up catching up with it. It's nice to load up a different town, with different villagers and as a different mayor. It is of course your choice, but I didn't regret getting a second game.

I'm lucky in the fact I've got a 5 year old Daughter who has her own copy, all she really does is run around and shake trees but when she's not on it I tend to her town, plant flowers etc. And often store things in her town if I run out of space. I could never fully play two games though, I don't feel I have enough time to put in to my one town !

A second copy can be fun. When I first got my second copy, I time traveled in it a lot. This was fun, because I didn't tt in my first town.I got to meet lots of cute villagers, play certain holidays again, and I made sure to get the full Zodiac animal set. After I got bored with that, I put the time back to normal, and just started playing as usual.I had this fun farm theme idea, and it was so fun creating it.

Thank you everyone for your answers, because I have been debating on getting a second copy also. lol

I got a second copy for the purpose of having a better town map and moving most of my villagers over. But then I became attached to most of my new villagers, so now I play both towns.

In a weird way, it helps me from getting burnt out on AC because I only dedicate maybe a couple hours total now instead of playing all day.

I think so. Then you can keep your first town and use the second copy for a second town or experimenting/cycling. I ended up buying a second copy for cycling. If you have a second DS then it's an easy way to get things back and forth too ex. villagers c:

Thank you so much for your feedback, everyone! I'm definitely leaning toward getting one if I can find it for a good price on ebay or something.

It's official. I bought a second game. In retrospect, maybe it isn't 100% the best way for me to be spending money and spending my time, but it was only $23 and free shipping, and it's going to be so much fuuuuuuun! Really, my happiness comes first so...

One, GameStop has them fairly cheap now- no manual or box, but you won't need to get one since you already played one before. Two, I have a second copy I play regularly, but with a twist- it's Japanese! Yes, it also means you need a Japanese system to play it on, but if you can afford it (they've certainly come down a lot now that the New 3DS is out), I recommend picking up a Japanese one, it's got items you surely won't get in your other one, and events you'll never see unless you know people who have a foreign one.

Personally, I wouldn't enjoy having a copy where I couldn't understand the language.
