How you Dupe Items (without hacking)

Duping your item(s)-<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Open your gate. Get a friend to visit. Give someone your item, then get them to drop it off back on the ground. You pick that item up again. Then they will leave the town without your item, but keep your town open (never close gates) then you get them to come back. They will have the item.</div>Is that hacking? No.

That's not how it works.

There is two ways but I think ackid9 is refering to droping the items and talking to copper. That duping is not a hack

The duping where you actually have to have a hack code is hacking. (duh)

But the one where you go to other people's towns and reset is a glitch, not a hack.

The hack that was made is pointless anyway because you can get anything you want with hacks, no reason to dupe items.

Hacking is changing the games code
The duplication glitch is a exploit
2 diffrent things

Once it is taken advantage of i call it cheating.

Once it is taken further by finding out the code that is hacking.

Not using it, means it's just a error.
