Is Cyd not popular?

Im just curious? I think he is awesome but I never see anyone talk about him.

Like would I be correct to assume Chief and Octavian are more popular cranky villagers?

He’s not popular at the moment, but it may take a while for him to get some recognition, I’m sure someday he may be popular.

...but currently, no, not really, his introduction was kind of over-shadowed by the introduction of Raymond, Judy, Dom, Audie and Sherb.

I also think Megan and Reneigh got side-lined a bit, honestly.

I'm alittle jealous he's more popular than Megan according to the poll but he's honestly alright for an elephant.

I don't think elephants are a very popular species in general (well at least compared to the wolves who have about 5 crankies)

maybe he'll shine when the hype around the other villagers has died down

I think out of all the new villagers, the least popular ones are Cyd and Megan.
Reneigh is still quite popular by Uchi standards considering that many people are not too fond of their designs but she's obviously nowhere near Raymond, Audie, Dom or Sherb popularity.
I think Cyd looks interesting - not entirely sure how much I'd want him on my island but he's got that Rock n' Roll thing going for him.

Some of the new ones definitely got overshadowed but I don't think Dom was very popular when the game first came out (certainly not as much as now)

no one ever talks about Cyd or Megan it's like they don't exist. Kind of surprising considering they're both new. Anyway I think Cyd has a really cool design.

Love having him on my island! I recently gifted him a black fedora and he rocks it!!! I'll probably end up keeping him and one other cranky (since I currently have 4... yikes!)

I like Cyd design wise and I would have been interested in having him on my island if I didn’t currently have Apollo and Kabuki. Unfortunately for Cyd I’d rather have one of them as my permanent cranky.

It is unfortunate that he’s overshadowed by everyone else though. He does deserve recognition.

Cyd's amazing, imo he's in the top 3 of best designed new villagers, and i'm really happy to have him... the most i've ever paid for a villager was 46 nmt to get him, i needed my grumpy biker elephant lmfao
