Is “clearing your void” still a thing?

I do some villager trades and sell some hybrid flowers occasionally and end up with a lot of unsightly villagers that you guys have voided, lol. I have been forcing them out with amiibo cards and no glitches have come through on my end but I am afraid of accidentally passing them on to friends and having them experience the plot glitch.

Is it still a thing where I can visit an island with 10 villagers and clear them out? And if so, I might ask someone to do that for me and I can offer a cutting board or maybe a Sakura item.

Unfortunately, yes. You can still get random villagers that have moved out from other islands if they haven't cleared it. Just make sure you don't have an open plot, and no one should move in.

Yeah it exists because I’ve picked up random villagers that have told me they’re from towns that I’ve visited.
