Is a pirate themed birthday card for my boyfriend too... childish?

He's turning 21 years old very soon and I'm running low on ideas. I know he likes pirates so I thought maybe I could make a pirate themed birthday card for him since he prefers homemade gifts.

But I don't want to make him feel like a kid. So my question is... is it too childish? Should I go for a more "simple" card or go with the pirate theme? I know he'll appreciate both either way; just stuck on which one.

Well for my 17th birthday in two months, I want it to be Jurassic Park themed because why not? Dinosaurs represent me and what every 17 year old girl loves. You're only as young as you are at heart, doesn't matter what age you are.

Well, if he likes pirates, and he likes you, it should be awesome! Just make sure to put a little note in there for him

Definitely not! Besides, love is innocent and childlike- so don't worry about what he'll think because he'll love it if you gave it to him (also that you remembered he loves pirates)
