Inviting a villager from another town as one of your first 5?

Hi everyone, wondering if someone can help me with an oddly specific problem I'm having (Posted in F.A.Q thread already but might have more luck just starting a new thread).

So atm I have 2 islands one of which I only started a few days ago so currently only have 3 islanders (+ 1 more moving in tomorrow).

On my older island I have Lucky in his standard house, which I don't really like the interior of, so I'd like him to move in to my new town in the default lazy house.

I haven't completed the lazy house on my new island so there's no risk of a random moving, so I'd like to know, if I were to get him in boxes on my old island:

1. Would I be able to invite him to live on my new island?
And, if so, 2. If he moved into my new island from my old one would he have his proper house interior or would he move into the default lazy house?

If anyone can help out here I will be so so greatful! I'm scared to get him in boxes incase he wont move and then he's gone from both islands.

As far as I know, you cannot adopt a villager in boxes until you get to the point where Tom asks to you to place the additional 4 plots after you get your first camper, someone else on here told me that. As for his house, when Lucky moves out eventually, he will have his regular house and not the Lazy Starter house. They only get the starter house if the move in as a starter. If you found Lucky on an island and made him one of the first 5 then yes he would have the starter house but if starter house Lucky moved, starter house Lucky would get his scripted house instead. Does that make sense? I felt awkward trying to explain lol.

Thank for your reply! Yes that all makes sense, I've been villager hopping for him because I didn't think I'd be able to trade him yet and if I did later he'd just have his default house.

But after 200+ islands and 200+ lazy villagers I figured it was at least worth checking if this might work before I waste more time.

Now I just need to decide if it's worth it to spend more NMT just because I don't like his house interior

It never hurts at all to ask, I've also had to ask very similar questions when I started my current island. I wish there were easier ways but considering you wanting the starter lazy house for him, this would probably be your only option. I went through the same with my first lazy but I chose Zucker who was very easy to find as Octopi are pretty common. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck! May the odds be in your favor, and remember, patience is a virtue they say, so if you can wait and keep getting tickets, it will happen eventually I'm sure!

Thank you honestly didn't think he would be this hard to find as there are only 60 possible lazies, but I guess he's a bit rarer as there's so many dog lazies.

I doubt I'd have much luck trading for him online if I want him original but in the default lazy house so guess I'll stick to the grinding!
