IE6 users have an average IQ score barely over 80, according to a recent study by Vancouver-based psychometric consulting company, AptiQuant.
Psychometrics "is the field of study concerned with the theory and technique of psychological measurement, which includes the measurement of knowledge, abilities, attitudes and personality traits, and educational measurement." Of course you know that, at least if your browser of choice is Firefox or Chrome (user IQ average around 110), Opera or Camino (user IQs average more than 120), or are familiar with a website called Wikipedia.
not to mention, if you do a browser bookmark test internet explorer is usually on the bottom of the bookmarking results.

Until recently, I used Internet Explorer as my regular browser. And I honestly don't think I'm stupid.

Well you're obviously not stupid, because you switched 8D

Haha, I know. But still, it's a fine browser with a few quirks. I only switched to Chrome because a few sites were very slow... Only reason I used it was because I was most familiar with it :P

Phew, I don't use IE... But what if you use two browsers? Like I use Firefox and Safari, one for school related work and one for random stuff. Probably would just mean you could have an IQ in between their two averages...Or I'm just thinking about this too much...

Of course someone who doesn't know how to update their computer isn't going to be as smart. (It said IE6)

I actually read the manuscript. Pretty flawed study (and manuscript). Cites no references. Does little to ensure that the group they are assessing is the same one that is normed for the WAIS-IV. Biased sample, as it was only really given to those who were searching for an online IQ test.

Plus, IE9 users had a lower average intelligence than IE8 users in the results.

So what about an engine such as Safari.. It seems like they would be almost as stupid to not upgrade
