Inspo from Dream Islands?

Has anyone else gotten inspiration from Dream Islands? I visited horror ones, and now I’m inspired to put horror elements in my island hehe. Anyone else? I’m trying to find inspo for my french garden now

yeah suddenly i want a japanese street neighborhood but there's no way to fit that kind of theme on my island, it'll be out of place
at least those cottagecore & french garden type of areas are workable. i visited @P. Star's island and the ornate/elegant vibe is actually what i wanted originally, but didn't have enough art and elegant/ornate furniture to make it happen. so i'm pretty jealous.

Yes! After seeing how someone did a lil yard for each of their neighbors, it really gave me ideas if I decide to go that route instead of how my setup currently. They really utilized their island’s acres without making it feel so confined. It was organized well but also still “natural”/uninhabited in other areas.

There's so many nice islands. I toured a few WIPs ones and they use furniture I've never considered using. Like the woodblock stuff is kinda nice but I didn't like it looking at the diy card.

A lot of islands have a lot of space and I've been trying to find inspo for an entrance since mine is really bulky and I am not a fan of it anymore

Aside from that, I haven't really found anything inspiring for my island. This one place seemed unfinished as I couldn't venture further out. It was also pretty crammed, but a lot of it looked nice.

I've seen areas that I liked using different items - one that had a lot of the autumn things. I may try to remember how they tucked some things under trees, along paths, etc. I did reach out to one person and ask them about a pattern, since they didn't have a kiosk enabled. She was very nice and gave me the creator's ID.

Other than that, I haven't found anything that'll really go on my island, but there are similar... flavors? Seeing items placed in different ways is always fun and sparks ideas.

Gonna finally go to Dream Islands now, so probably am gotta get inspired because I am uncreative.

edit; Haven't got inspiration to mimic anything from an Island yet but definitely am getting inspired to finish my own trashy island lol.

Yes, because i finally have somewhere to get inspiration from. I have added a bunch of different elements to my island plans, and i’m excited to try them out!

not necessarily inspo but it's been making me feel better about my own island seeing all these super-cool retro city islands from youtube In The Flesh...and they're just as disorganzied as me with big piles of furniture dropped all over the beach and random unfinished areas LOL

I made some floating islands with nova lamps on them because I liked the idea from another town. Also I want to add a second character to my island and make a themed house.

also it's not necessarily french but for european-style inspo this person has a really cool-looking venice area on their map! i haven't been yet but from the pictures it looks sooo nice

I prolly should tour some cottagecore islands for inspiration for my starter area (it’s going to be a visitor center a la Yellowstone NP)

only inspiration most dream islands gave is not putting a whole bunch of stuff on the island since most of them are super laggy cause they have too much stuff and the slow downs make you feel very sick to the point you feel like throwing up

I've been to several islands and have definitely taken inspiration from a few, especially for beach decor which I haven't tackled yet! Although, I wouldn't call it "inspiration" necessarily...more like "wow, my island is a garbage heap compared to this I have to get my act together".
