I was wondering, do you guys still incorporate finding the bell rock into your daily schedule? I know some people when advanced enough they brush it off their to-do list. I still do, every day! It gives me a chance to scout the town for lost items and talking to villagers. Also, 16,000 bells is nice to attain (unless you're having a(n) lucky/unlucky day), no matter how far you are!
What about you? :D

I still seek out the bell rock because its always nice to have extra bells on hand. :)

I hate to say it, but I usually skip the bell rock. I have flowers and paths near my rocks so checking them can be a real pain, haha.

I have so much money, so I don't need to.

Just kidding, lol. I don't really see a point to anymore tbh. I used to when I first started playing. Ah, the good ol' days when I was trying to make ends meet to upgrade my house. :P

I always (literally always) have approximately 90k on hand at all times. I think that's my OCD though. :P

I tend to check for the rock when I'm otherwise sorta just bored or semi-directionless. An easy way to keep up with it is just to keep your shovel out all the time... great for those gyroids & fossils!

Previously I had a bunch of paths that'd surround some rocks, so I was definitely missing out. Now that I've got a sizable amount of ore and bells saved I probably won't look for the money rock so much anymore.

When I think of it. As I landscape more and more, I'll lose even more interest in it. I get more bells from beetles and TBT exchange ofc. My house is paid off and now paying off my alts'.

I still do, it's nice to have extra bells, and it's kind of fun I guess. The more I landscape, the less room there is for the bells to fall though, so I'll probably stop pursuing it at some point.

I'm still after gold ore, so I always hit the xtra rock (ore) and also the other rocks in case they spit out ore as well (they can if you use the silver shovel).

I always do a walk around town each time I load up anyway as I like to make sure that there's no stray flowers of gem rocks in funny places. Occasionally during those times I'll have a look round for the money rock. I managed to make my fortune off turnips and selling tbt, so I no longer really need the bells. But I do like the feeling of hitting the rock and having the shovel bounce off like a trampoline. Kind of wish they'd incorporated some mini game where we could just hit a load of bell rocks...

Truth be told, no. I stopped doing so a long while ago, not only because I am already filthy rich but also because my town is full of flowers, and it would be a pain in the butt if everytime I have to de-plant and re-plant dozens of them.

WAT? 16K? I've only ever gotten $8,100. What am I doing wrong?!?!!?

I have a lot of bells so I don't bother anymore. Sometimes if I have a shovel in hand and I run by a rock, I'll hit it cause I get the urge to. But I no longer actively search for the rock.

I always search for the rock, though I don't remove my patterns anymore, because it's very tedious to put them back down, so if I don't get as much money as I would otherwise, I don't really care.

I only hit some rocks in my town, some of them are surrounded by paths/trees/flowers so I don't bother with them, so I only get it on the days it's a rock in an open space. I always get the ore rock though.

as shown on the picture above you stand diagonal to the rock, dig hole behind yourself and hit the rock. You just need to hit is as fast as you can to obtain the 16k bells. When you don't use something behind you you have to keep running back to the rock once you get too far away which wastes time so I'm pretty sure it impossible to get 16K without using something behind you.
