True! People don't always play when they're at Club Tortimer. Like Lyla said, maybe there's a phone call in the room and they have to leave. It's not like Club Tortimer is only meant for moving and talking...it's where people meet other people from around the world. It's not like you're supposed to talk. Some people don't like talking with other people they don't know.

Then why would you even bother going to CT if you don't like socializing.

So what if they do not move?! This is pretty much like Online Multiplayer on Mario Kart 7. If they aren't moving, use it to your advantage in Island tours like how if someone isn't moving in a Balloon Battle in MK7, target their kart and get yourself some easy points. I think you guys are making too much of a deal over a little tiny issue in the game. Maybe their internet died on them and the online game servers have them stuck in the position they were in last or like some of you were saying that maybe something came up in the real world. Not everyone has time to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf every hour of each day, so be more considerate of other players when you play next time, not everyone has the same life situation as you.

I accidentally did this once! I had to do something so I closed my DS, forgetting I was talking to Leilani, and then when I came back I thought that I had left the island and saved the game already so I didn't open the DS for a while! At night, I opened the DS and I felt really bad... I hope no one lost anything important...

I do way worse. If I'm looking for rare items I just pop on a CT isle and then immediately leave. I'm sure I've annoyed many a personage.

I do that or run off to check what tours are available. I usually don't talk or stick around too long.

I don't really get why it annoys you when people are just not moving or talking? They can't be bothering you if they're not doing anything, so just ignore them??

I also don't like socializing on CT because I'm kind of shy there weirdly ... I pretty much only use it to check out the shop and to catch bugs sometimes.

I don't think it really matters what you use CT for. Really there's no use in complaining about people who use it for different functions. Whether it be shopping or to catch bugs or fish or do tours or socialize or terrorize and chop down all the trees or afk randomly because bodily functions or phones or parents or just to be a silly bean or what, but people are not going to change. There's always gunna be that one guy that doesn't move, or shops or that one butt that traps people and chops down all the trees! It's not something we can change so easily, it's online interactions, and people will just do what they do. They always have been.

It's one thing if you're just using the topic to rant about it, but if you seriously think people are going to stop playing a game how they like to then I think you're just going to have to put up with it. ._.
