Hey y'all!

Hybrids have overrun my island, but before I trash, sell, or give them away, I need to know what to do with them first! I could really use some inspiration. Idk what would look best... I want to make a rainbow with the flowers but idk if I should go by type, or use all of them, or just go by whichever flower per color looks the best.

So please, share some screenshots of your flower setups! 😭😭

There is a user on reddit who posts interesting flower bed mixes almost weekly--here's the most recent post, with links to all the previous ones:
I just love these flower bed mixes. I pretty much always have a tab open to the most recent one and even though lately I try to come up with my own, I review these for inspiration along the way.

Those flower bed mixes helped me so much, I am so grateful that that person did that lol. It’s a nice clear picture of what looks nice together, and they did it with so many different colors and types so you see mixes that you never would’ve thought of. I really like their grape mix and Cheshire Cat mix, they’re so pretty and it’s a nice mix of the purple (for the grape) and pinks for the other. Personally my island has purple orange and black flowers because I’m doing an old forgotten town on the outskirts of a spooky forest, So I wanted Halloween colors

I thought of this user immediately! I also see them on Instagram sometimes. I wish they would show the color mixes in action. I'm horrible with decorating with flowers still.

I used a lot of this mixes for inspo! I love them. I feel like the flowers look far more interesting mixed like this, and it's also fun to do

I used to have the rainbow flower garden before but flower arrangements are way more fun! Here's some of mine:

The orange panises/black cosmos one looks so cool!

I like putting green mums with yellow hyacinth for a more nature look. It goes really well with the full grown weeds I think.
Also been using this to figure out what different types of flowers have similar hues to others, along with bloomed shrubs.

I love mixing and matching flowers! Some combinations I like:

- Pink Hyacinth x White Cosmos
- Orange Pansy x Black Lily
- Black Cosmos x Black Tulip
- Blue Pansy x Blue Hyacinth
- Pink Rose x Pink Mum
- White Lily x Black Rose
- All purple hybrids (I did this around the perimeter of the resident service centre, since it has a purple roof)
- Orange Cosmos x Yellow Rose

In New Leaf, I did a lot of pink and purple. Haven't tried it yet in NH but I'm sure it looks even better :)
