I never thought I'd say this but I think the dung beetle is just adorable, rolling around those snowballs without a care in the world. One just drove by my idle character a minute ago and the little critter had managed to make a huge snowman-sized snowball.
And the mean and ugly lantern fish, with his menacing teeth and his dangly bit that glows mysteriously. I can't get enough of that critter -- he is absolutely my favorite fish. He's so ugly he's cute to me.
What are your favorite insects or fish, discounting high value as a reason to like them?
My favorite fish is the oarfish because its design is cool. I've never heard of one before until I caught one. Another reason why I like it because it's the dragon design for Nanami's parents in okamiden.
Actually the barred knifejaw is really pretty to me, I like that one too. It's so cool that they use real fish names/kinds in the game. Not too long ago I saw a surgeonfish in an aquarium and I knew exactly what it was, haha. Thanks, Nintendo!
all the cicadas the crickets and suzumushi love hearing their sounds! but love also all the dragonflies and the emperor butterfly
for the fish catagory the gold fish, the ribbon eel the turtle and the butterfly fish the squid and the seahorse
There are a lot of fish that I think look cool, but my favorite is actually the red snapper. It makes me remember being a kid and playing the Gamecube version.
As for insects, I like a lot of them. The lantern fly might be my favorite.
Favorite fish: Sea butterfly (so cute and pretty) or football fish (ferocious and cool)
Favorite bug: Ladybug or snail (both are cute and tiny; always a fun find in my garden) or firefly (so pretty and whimsical... And reminds me of The Grave of the Fireflies :'( )
My favorite fish is the Sea Butterfly. It's the perfect small ocean fish to give to a villager.
My favorite bugs are the tarantula/scorpion. The two bugs that finished my players golden nets collections.
Still remember my first catches of both of those bugs. Heart was racing while I ran to the museum.
Oh my gosh, when I first encountered a tarantula I got bitten and I passed out. It was shocking! After that I was always so nervous and it took me so many tries to get that guy. I was so proud of catching him when I did I still have him as a pet.
Fish: Probably the goldfish, yes they are common but also adorable <3
Bugs: The fireflies are so pretty at night, too bad they only show up in June, but that gives you something to look forward to.
I also really like the goldfish, because they're one of the few fish/bugs that look cool as furniture. I'm not a big fan of the plastic cages most of the bugs come in, and the fish tanks are sort of boring. But the goldfish and the cricket cages = awesome.
Always been a huge fan of Red Snappers and Barred Knifejaws; they were my money makers in ACG. But nowadays, nostalgia aside, any of the cutesy small fish are what I really like- Angelfish, Neon Tetra, Popeyed Goldfish, Guppy..
As far as bugs are concerned, Giant Petaltail Dragonfly all day every day. ♥
