after literally forever debating on how i wanted to organize my paths, i've come to the above conclusion

so, right now i'm in the process of making a very "ruined" pathway as you can see in the above screenshot. there's a lot of sand and the paths are scattered and are very uneven (think "ghost town" or "small western town that the desert keeps swallowing") this is intentional and i'm using very limited methods to create a "right direction" for people to follow, but the hints are definitely there and are right in front of your face.

while working on my paths i've come to the realization: i might need flowers. the issue is my town is a desert theme and i'm not sure what flowers would fit. i just kinda wanna scatter them through the desert. i might do pink flowers since pink flowers tend to look best surrounded by sand. i might get some bushes too to make it look more "desert-y"

thoughts?

i think carnations would look great with it tbh

I've seen flowering cacti in shades of white, pink, red, and yellow. For the type of flower, I think cosmos would work really well. You could probably use any color of cosmos and it would still look good.

I'm seconding the cosmos, especially in yellow, white, black, red, and orange. Maybe some black roses and lilies too. A desert themed town to me would also have clovers scattered around despite the more autumnal color palette of the flowers.

Ahh and to your edit: yes to carnations; they make everything better and no one can convince me otherwise lol. :)

Third for cosmos. There's more variety color with cosmos, and the look like a scrappy desert flower.

Nice path.
