I'm thinking of getting yet another copy of ACNL. Questions concerning this idea.

But I'm thinking that it's going to be a downloaded copy onto the actual 3DS. I just wanted to make sure that this wouldn't somehow mess up any of my cartridge games, because I've heard horror stories concerning things like this?

Would this interfere in anyway or cause data corruption on either or? I want to be sure before I make this decision.
Would it just be better to be patient and get yet another physical copy of the game? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would say that's safe too, since the data is saved on the gamecard. I can't say from own experience, but I can't see why it wouldn't work =]

Thanks! That's a very helpful information. I have Lily and Rosie in my cycling town and I need to move them to my main. So I guess I could use my partner's console to transfer them since he's also playing a physical copy of AC.

To make it clear not every single copy of the game is for me. One is my SO's, while one is my reset and the other is my main.

Yes two copies are for me two copies are for her so we each have our main town and our reset towns so we can get our dreamies and then help other people get villagers they want. o 7 o

These games make us feel happy, so we don't care if it's childish to get so many copies or if people think it's a waste of money because it's our lives and our money and it keeps us happy in this crappy, depressing world we live in. End of story. 8D

Don't worry, nothing bad will happen. <3 I have a cartridge copy and a download copy on the same system, and nothing bad has happened at all. The only thing that sucks is, if you're playing them both on the same system, you can't trade in between the two towns.

Lol! My husband has, if anyone can believe it, bought me 4. I'm embarrassed, actually. I have a main town, of course, and there is no way I can take good care of ALL of them equally, but I will not let 3 go to desert, by any means. But now I can have more villagers to give away, more fruits, and trade with myself and a place to always take Katie when she shows up when I'm in the middle of something.

Yeah...I hope I don't get too attached.

I found out that I got a really popular villager or two, but until they want to move on their own I don't want to get anyone's hopes up because I cannot get them out by TT'ing. At least not without making the same horrendous mistake I made just recently (and thank goodness this board came to my rescue!).

I really get a different feel with different species, too. I'd never had frogs, mice, or an octopus before. It feels odd, but really good. I am becoming more familiar with other sorts of villagers and other types. I used to think all towns would have at least one of each type, but that's not so. That is something you have to do yourself. Heh...well, with extra towns I can make that happen easier.

Meh. Find sales for the physical and then it's cheaper. It'll be worth it to get a cartridge version IMO anyways. If you screw up your SD card or something happens to it, you're screwed.
