I'm such an idiot!

Ok so I have Just enacted the beautiful town ordinance in my town and I thought I would skip to ahead to tomorrow (1st of Feb 2017) so it was activated and now i feel like an idiot, I skipped ahead BUT FORGOT TO CHANGE THE MONTH! so now instead of going forward to February 1st I actually ended up going backwards A WHOLE MONTH! so I then realised my mistake but only AFTER I had loaded my town, and corrected it but now my town thinks I have not played for a whole month, I have a new villager (Zell) and my hair is messed up, on top of that I now have weeds all over my town New leaf why must you do this to me now its making m want to start fresh but I literally just got going with this town the other day and if I restart all my hard work will have been for nothing

Anybody else done this sort of mistake and felt as silly as i do right now?

Aw, I'm sorry this happened! However, at least nobody you liked moved out, and Zell isn't a bad villager at all! You might be able to find people on the Train Station board who will weed your town for you. Anyway, I hope everything turns out good!

thank you, I just feel so silly and now I am debating whether its worth restarting lol, I probably won't but its a possibility, plus all my villagers have plotted their homes in one half of my town and not touched the other half so now it just looks very odd.

I actually did the same thing yesterday, haha... I had the beautiful town ordinance and nothing really happened, though, just a couple more weeds than normal.

Oh no. ;-; I don't ever time travel on the last day of a month just in case. It really sucks that that happened to you, though. :/ I wouldn't reset. Weeding can be fun if you're watching television or listening to music.

No biggy, the weeds will help you get the weeding badge and you'll have more to do in your town now. I certainly wouldn't restart over it, thats going a bit too far...

I time traveled when I was starting off with my main town way back in 2013, just to get my town kind of started off. And trust me... I've made plenty of mistakes too, eheh. I considered stopping playing, resetting, selling my game, but ultimately, those little mistakes won't really matter in the long run, so don't sweat it! Luckily, the weeding will help you work toward your weeding badge, so that's good. And at least this'll teach you to be careful with your time traveling!

I don't think that this would be too hard to fix. If you don't want to weed your town, I can do it for you for free. Just don't get discouraged and reset just for this.

I ended up resetting, no regrets, I did keep the town name and I now have a diagonal bridge and far better starter villagers!

I always make mistakes when travelling near the midnight mark and end up accidentally skipping days, which I don't like to do.

I'm sorry this happened though I don't think it's worth restarting over but whatever makes you feel at ease. Since you look happy with your map and starting villagers, maybe it's for the better o:

This happened to me just two days ago while I was trying to move back the time since it was already midnight when I started playing. I wanted to reset it to 6pm but wasn't able to change the date so it jumped to the next day other than my snowman disappearing since I needed to TT back to actual date. Nothing too drastic.

Don't worry, in my AC:CF, I went back 5 YEARS not knowing the consequences. Basically the town became garbage with weeds everywhere, wilted flowers, moving villagers, and even some rafflesia!

I've accidentally done this a few times. Nothing happens apart from 1 or 2 weeds around but I did end up losing Chief once because he wanted to move and I said okay because I wanted him in my new town. I would never restart over something like that and luckily I have his amiibo card. Once I changed the time over 4 years and there were around 80 weeds, I think one person moved out and it took 10 minutes to get rid of all of them and the rafflesia went the next day, so it's not a big deal.

It almost happened to me a while ago. I time travelled to the next day because the fishing tourney was on, preveneting me from placing PWP's. I tried to set it one day forward but instead it set the month forward by accident and when I saw Isabelle saying "So that would be March 2017?", I was like "OH GOD! CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL CANEL!! PHEW!!". I blame the fact that some regions use mm/dd/yyyy and others use dd/mm/yyyy. Why can't we all just stick to one time format? Who thought it was a good idea to make them different?!

When I wanted to move in Chai, I messed up the plot reset, so I decided to move her out by moving in another amiibo villager. Then I moved in Chai again, but since I was too lazy to wait I time traveled to get it all done in 1 day. But since it was at about the end of november, and I had to time travel a few days forward, I too forgot to change the month. So then Chai moved in on the 1st of november and I could easily time travel forward, so it all was right. But then my 3ds did that thing again where it shows me the battery is almost running out when it's actually completely full. I could easily fix that by inserting the battery again, no big deal. Turned out it actually was a big deal, because I forgot that removing the battery automatically resets your 3ds' clock as well. So my town's date got changed too and I randomly skipped through all of Isabelle's text, thinking everything would be fine. But it wasn't, because my town was full of snow, it was night, and the sky was full of fireworks. So I looked at the date and it said January 1, of whatever year it was. And I completely lost it. Had to travel forward all the way back to november 2016, but I did have Chai, right next to Tia's house. Was all of this worth it? Definitely not now that I hack and can easily move houses around whenever I want.
