im having trouble with everything i have no bells and only peaches and its driving me crazy!
I'm sorry about your town. With bells, you can always trade in the TBT you have here on the forum or look up advice on making bells quickly. Once you unlock the island, you can hunt beetles for extra money. If you can get non-native fruits and plant them, this will help you too because I think they're worth extra in Re-Tail. Finding the smashable rock every day and selling the gemstone too.
Peaches aren't a very common starter fruit (I think) so you could always offer to trade with people for theirs.
Im struggling about where to place paths...
Laying down paths can be complicated but don't despair. Just start by noticing the spots you visit most often and the route you take between them, and place paths there. Your house, Re-Tail, the train station and other buildings are a good starting point. You can also decide which kind of paths you want, which helps. If it's overwhelming, you can simply divide your town into different parts and go by stages. As long as you don't forget that they'll have to connect with each other, it'll seem like less work.
Don't be afraid of chopping down trees if you have to, you can always plant them again in a better spot. If a villager's house is in a bad place, be creative. If you want to move out that villager eventually, don't worry if that path looks weird on that spot because you can always improve it when the villager leaves.
If you're not especially attached to your current villagers and map, you can always reset for a better one. You can get someone to hold villagers and items for you.
and where to put plants I have no idea where to order them or anything....
Where you put plants depends on the look you want. Some people go for a natural look and don't mind plants that aren't growing on paths or on annoying places, other people are more structured and make patterns out of flowers. You can start by deciding about some main spots. Do you want shrubs lining Re-Tail and the Train Station (for example)? Do you want an orchard or park area? Do you want to decorate around PWPs? Those might be easier places to start with and you can decide the rest of the plants based on that.
Since you're starting out you'll have to work with what you have (fruits, starter flowers) but when you unlock the gardening shop it'll be easier to get plants and as time goes by you can breed hybrids. You can also try to trade or buy plants from people here.
