I’m not trying to admonish you but just a heads up that even in the anime community (which I’ve been in since I was a kid due to my ethnic background) there are a lot of people who will take offence to this word, particularly as many LGBTQ+ enjoy anime. Feel free to use whatever words you might like but please be advised that this can cause a lot of tension in any community.
