I started playing ACNL three months ago - and I am happily addicted to it! I've put in over 500 hours already (lots of time to play, since I'm retired) and I figure I'll be around for at least 5,000 more. I love the update that was just released and can't wait to get those amiibo cards that are being released in December.

I'm playing the game in "stock" form/fashion: no time travel, no replotting, etc. I enjoy watching my village evolve organically, but I also enjoy understanding and shaping its growth by using all sorts of wonderful things I've learned from cruising around The Bell Tree Forums. I probably won't post anything very often, since most of y'all seem to be much more sophisticated and skillful than I am when it comes to being a mayor. Nevertheless, I want to say, "Thank you for being willing to share your expertise and experiences!" It's nice to be a part of an open and helpful group like this one.

Namaste!

Hey, welcome! This is the first time I've seen a username with spaces in it. I didn't think it was possible!

Welcome to the forums ^^, the update is great isn't it I have the new Amiibo's cards preordered. If you need any fruits you don't have feel free to PM me, I have every fruit growing in my town :3.

I just got lucky ...

Hey, welcome! This is the first time I've seen a username with spaces in it. I didn't think it was possible!

When I was entering my user name, I just included the spaces unconsciously - thanks to decades of using an archaic device known as a manual typewriter - and the system accepted it. Thanks for the welcome! I just spent a few moments surveying your artwork. WOW!!! You are very talented. I can't even produce recognizable stick figures with a pencil and paper, so someday (if I ever get enough posts and TBT bells) I'll hope to call on you for some great graphics.

Thanks again!
Ananda

Thanks very much for your offer and warm welcome! If I lose my patience with massed requests for PEARS, you'll probably get that PM. My wife and I preordered the cards, too, and we're like children on Christmas Eve who are waiting for Santa to arrive. Sadly, no amount of effort will make the glacially slow hours and days move any faster . . .

Again, thanks for your generosity and cheerful welcome!

Welcome, I am 58 and play it almost daily.

I just find it so amazing how people of all ages can enjoy this game!! welcome :)

Welcome! This site is a great place to safely interact and to learn about the game and now the new update.

@mags, I am 58 as well.

I only began playing ACNL in 2014 so I could play with my grand children, my first digital game I played.

I love that there is a mature community here too! Although I am 27. ^^ Welcome!

The cards are being released in December? No wonder I couldn't find any..

Nonsense! You are welcome here regardless of your skill level. I just joined a couple of days ago myself and that's the feeling I get from this community.

Welcome to the forums! It's great to have people of all ages in one place, enjoying the same game. The people on the website are very friendly and generous. I'm sure they can help you with anything if you need it. Personally, I've been playing these games all my life starting with the very first one on the GameCube. They sure are great, aren't they?

I hope you enjoy your time here! :)

Just as in most of the other Animal Crossing incarnations, you are perfectly Tortimer.

Showing up at special events but sleeping in your office chair the rest of the time. Perfect!

I am an older player as well - there are quite a few if us here if you can find us!
Because if you are older than 12 on TBT you're officially "old".

Welcome!

As someone who is very young, it's so nice to see older people enjoy this game too! Welcome!
