You add friends on the console not in the game itself. Wisp only want to possess bodies (Amiibo) and give you free MEOWS that you then use to purchase RV items and items in Harvey's shop

Hi! Even though I probably won't be able to visit you town or anything (parental controls that i'm to lazy to mess with) I'm willing to give you advice or something.

You can also have friends in the game, when their in your town (or vice versa) there is an option. I think it's in the thing that shows you who's in the town but I forget how exactly to do it. You MAY have to be friends with them on your system to do it but I've only ever done it with my sister so I couldn't tell you for sure.

It is the players list. It shows you who is currently in your town and you can add them to your best friend list. You can also add another player in your best friend list in another player's town. The best friend function allows you to text each other in game without having to physically be in each other's town (both players need to be online and playing)
