I’m curious...

I love gifting my villagers
It brings me a lot of joy to seem them displaying my presents or wearing clothes I chose for them
Feels like they appreciate my gifts hahha

i love gifting my villagers and designing their house so i gift them appropriate furniture, because frankly when i get a villager now i don't care for selling them away. would be nice if they find a new home if it comes to time they want to move out, but i never intend to keep them original for the next buyer. (unless i scan an amiibo for someone to adopt, but i don't do this now)

as for clothes, i always think of clothes that would look good on them. if i'm not sure, i take a visit from harv's island.

I once accidentally gifted Lolly this red jacket and now she wears it all the time and it totally doesn't suit her. I've given her multiple items of clothing since then and yet she still wears this dumb red jacket all the time

Other than that I like giving villagers gifts

I love giving clothes to my villagers. The only thing I masked sure is that i have them try them on first at Harvey’s island to see what they look like in it. And also when another villager gives them a gift via errand, I always tell them not to try it on in hopes of it not going in their outfit rotation.

Harvey’s island is an awesome place to have your villagers try stuff on to see what looks good on them!

I give me villager things. I like to feel like they’re a part of the town and your forming a real friendship with them rather than just “oh, I can’t give Raymond that super cute suit because someone won’t pay top dollar for him when he moves out”. If people don’t want my villagers cause of items I’ve given them that’s fine, I’ll void them. It’s doesn’t bother me tbh.

I gift my villagers pretty much anything, I like the villagers I have now and I've never really though of selling them, though I do offer to give them away if they're in boxes.

I just give them clothes that I think would look great on them. However, most of the time I just give them non-native fruit, since it's the easiest way to increase their friendship without changing their interior.

I give them stuff as if they were real friends. I don't care if they're not "original" then. I propose them if they are leaving on the forum; if nobody wants them because they're not original that's not my problem ! I won't stop myself from enjoying my game for what some picky buyers will think in an eventual future where they move.

I don’t mind gifting them clothes as long as they have a wardrobe and don’t dump things on the floor. Although I don’t have any control over them getting gifted things anyway, so it’s whatever.

When I trade for villagers, I need them to be original. I don't like them wearing silly things or things that don't match their personality or aesthetic.

I do enjoy giving gifts to my permanent residents, especially on their birthdays!

Only if you really want there photo give them fruits that are not your native fruit. I regret giving Audie cute hats, since i tt they sit in her house until winter is back... never gift glasses/hats they place them everywhere. I thought the moon jellyfish would be cute on Judy's table but she replaced her dessert sprinkles light >: so its in the corner.

I gave Cranston an ant farm because he likes bugs and he replaced his record player and I'm so grateful because I hated whatever it was he had playing on it. I don't really trade much, so keeping them original doesn't matter. It's sweet that they have pet sea bass and pill bugs! I am trying to get my starter villager homes in order through gifting, but it's hard to get right.
