im bored. who wants to play

all of my friends who used to play have stopped like the majority of us.
i recently started playing again on a fresh game.
am just a bit bored now and want to play multiplayer.
its still a thing right?

Hey! Unfortunately, Nintendo shut down the official game servers in 2024. This means that you're unable to play online through official servers.

I'm honestly unaware if the forum allows for this discussion, but many players have shifted towards the "Pretendo" servers (unofficial online servers). However, this means that your 3DS would need to be modded (a discussion which I'm pretty sure isn't allowed here, sorry).

In any case, "Pretendo" servers are also down at the moment and there is no expected official date for them to return at the moment. Meaning, there is no possible way to play online.

Your only option is to play with friends IRL who also have the game.
