No, that's not what happened, as far as I can tell. I was going into the file and then quit when the game was loading, which caused the data to corrupt and become bad. Also, I've decided to start tonight. I hope I get a good town design.

Starting Villagers: Mathilda, Peck, Fang, Marcel, Chrissy
I got a really nice place. The only problem is a big cut off beach area, but it doesn't matter too much. I have tons of space. Two houses and Re-Tail all line up with each other, and one of the ponds is by Re-Tail, which is near the town hall and the town square. Overall, everything is very close to each other. Though, there is a pig pond by the town entrance, so paths might be hard. Overall, I like it.

That sucks so much. It makes me glad that this forum site and the people here exist because starting from the beginning after losing a saved game would really put me off playing but having nice and helpful people make it so much better. I guess catalogue items, money and house wouldn't be so hard to get back to where you were in the game, however Animal Crossing is a slow paced game so shops on main street would take a while to get back to where you were and it would be very annoying if you didn't have patience. Unless you time travel, but that takes the fun away.

I love the way peaches look haha. I can still give you some perfect ones then, that way you can plant more quickly. I have all the fruit gathered now too and I can bring them to you if you'd like or you can come to my town and get them. I only have 7 cherries though, I thought I had more but I don't I'm afraid.
Probably a dumb question but I do have someone in boxes at the moment, does that affect people who visit me? I don't remember how that goes exactly. I don't want to accidentally give you a villager you wouldn't want. >.< I'm going to probably void him and clear my void but it won't be until tomorrow unless I find someone who has 10 villagers tonight lol. Most of my friends are already asleep.

Ah, that sounds terrible! I recently lost a bunch of hybrids to a momentary bout of stupidity, but I really can't imagine losing my entire town. I'd probably stop playing for a few months, but you bounced back pretty quickly! I want to help you, so if there's anything you need, I'll do my best to help you.

I can imagine how you feel. Did you have a lot of villagers you liked and stuff? Maybe you could turn your new town into an homage to your old town or maybe take the chance to do something different. Maybe you can even reset now for a map you've always wanted, for example.
There are people who have lots more stuff than I do, but you can visit my town if you need to use the shops or the island. I also have all the fruits so I can give you some if you need.

It was Croque, the cranky frog lol. He was one of my original five but I kept him around for forever it feels like. I was going to void him anyway though because I don't think he's really popular sadly. >.< My dates were just off so it was sooner than I imagined lol.
