Ah, I feel so depressed. I was loading up my games on my sd cards to start a new town and I loaded it up to find it wasn't the right one and accidentally pressed the power button thinking it would be fine. Then when I loaded it up again then it said that I had to delete my data, and not sure what to do, I did. And then when it loaded again I opened it up to find that all my progress was gone.
I'm feeling so sad now. All the progress I've put into my town is gone. I'm going to make sure to never do that ever again. Seriously, all the stuff that I did with people on here is gone. However, I'll just have to start anew, I suppose. Unless people think that I should just quit playing the game. Anyway, any help to starting up my game again or any advice would be helpful, or you can just comfort me since I've just lost everything. I'll try and do the same trades and get more bells to easily get the upgrade, and then just get back all of the furniture I get. I don't want to be too pessimistic, so I think I'll just have to start anew.

If you need any help with cataloging items I can try to help out, I have the gold badge so I can order you sets if you would like, or any fruit too. It's totally up to you but I wouldn't quit personally, I love this game too much. I'm sure in little to no time at all you can be back where you were right before this happened!

Oh my gosh that's awful. ): I'm so sorry! I restarted my game recently and have had a lot of fun with it, but that was because it was my choice. If it'd happened the same as you I probably wouldn't have touched my game for another year!

But don't worry. I'm sure you can get back on your feet and there's a ton of super nice people here who can probably help you out with stuff!

It's good to see that everyone here is willing to give me lots of help. I do lots of tbt trades(100 for 12 million or so) so getting money back won't be any problem at all, but I will take the golden tools and the fruit and some reordering sets. Thanks to everyone with all the support!
However, I'm done playing the game for the night for the most part, so I'm going to start out in my new town tomorrow. Though, I'll add all of you tonight, so add me back. I'm going to make sure that I never do that again. Hah I'll probably be really cautious now.

I'm really sorry to hear this I know how devastating it is when we all love this game so much.. dont quit the game, I know how frustrating and saddening it is but see this as a chance to do something you couldnt do when you first got the game. (like a better map)

Alright, I've added all of the people. By the way, before I create my town tomorrow morning, any recommendations for what I should have in my town? I'm not specifically looking for something good for fishing. Any good ideas for what kind of map I should get? Gonna name my town the same thing, hah.

Hmm, maybe try to look for a river that isn't too winding then if you don't want to fish so you can have more land/area for PWPs. I'm not really sure what else. If you like to go to island often I find having Retail near the dock makes the selling trips quicker since the distance is shorter. But if you want people to come to your town to sell turnips Retail works better by the station. And maybe not too many ponds if you're not big on those either. I think there's an image somewhere that shows every possible map selection if you google it. There are many different options to choose from haha.

Try to look for something that doesn't have a large river, Re-Tail next to train station (For the turnip sellers if you ever have a high price like 500-700) and only 1 pond, which is obviously next to Re-tail, I suggest a small pond and not a large one.

Need an example? Dream my town Termina. Just look up the mayor name Xavier and find one that has the town name Termina.

Alright, thanks for the advice! I won't be going to the island too much, so I'll try and get my re-tail near the top. Also, that sounds really great about the dlc, TheGreatBrain. Awww I'm sooo sorry that's just sad. I have a question. So if you switch sd cards, that basically corrupts the games data?
