So i'm not used to having pretty hybrids and nice landscaping in my town and I keep forgetting not to run and keep trampling EVERYTHING. Did anyone else do this when they first landscaped their towns? How did you break the dumb habit?

See and I have them it's just sometimes I cut across or swerve and there goes the gold roses, dang it.

I actually find it annoying how they made flowers so fragile, yes flowers are this fragile in real life but this feature is no fun at all. I wish they would fix this in the next installment but I doubt it...

I just stopped running to save my hybrids and grass. :P I had to get used to it for a while because I was also used to running~

I agree that flowers are too fragile. Maybe if you step on them in the game they should just wilt? Because in real life they do not poof and disappear. lol. And I was trying to turn around and pushed B to sprint as I turned and heard the dreaded "swoosh" sound and sighed to myself.

No, I have paths and daily routes so I never run over flowers. I have a habit of forgetting where I put my pitfalls seeds though.

And if you have Beautiful Town flowers are unaffected maybe?

That would be an amazing ordinance. Instead of flowers just "not wilting" they no longer explode into pieces when you kick them lightly.

I have just learned to not run at all, not even on my paths... I work to hard for my purrty flowers and I don't want anyone or myself to trample them. XD

Beautiful town does not effect your ability to trample over flowers. It just keeps them from wilting.

I organized my flowers so that they are neatly lined up to make paths. Occasionally I step on a rose but it's never too bad. Give your paths two spaces width wise and you won't have the issue any more.

Lol I know, we were talking about the possibility of them updating the beautiful town ordinance to include that in the next game. It would be a life saver! I'm working on my paths right now, trying to get them right without making my town look too barren.

If you wanna come to my town and see how I path out my roses I'll open up my gates :3

Hey that would be really cool! I'm always looking for inspiration from other mayors! I promise not to be such a klutz! Lol.

I always make a point of keeping my hybrids somewhere I can't run. I actually am saving them in a museum room instead of having them out just so I can't ruin them. I ran over a pink cosmos ONCE and it disappeared and I was mad. (I thought at least twice you had to run before they go away and this was a new one I'd just gotten)

When I first started out I ran alot and destroyed so many flowers, good thing they weren't hybrids yet. I usually just quit and loaded the game again if it was too many destroyed. After a while though, I still did it too much so I had to landscape and so I added paths, those paths helped a bit since I knew where I would run often, but I did notice around certain areas I would run over flowers even if it was just a little bit too close to the edge. So I made my paths a little bigger as a buffer zone. I originally planned for a 2 tile wide path, but in some areas like next to the train station, beach ramps, and retail, I made it one or two tiles bigger so I could run. Now that I'm done basically with the game, the paths are just there because I'm too lazy to change it now lol
