im addicted to island hopping

i just want to keep island hopping and finding new villagers but i keep liking the villagers i get but also i want to get rid of them to keep searching (Coco, lucky, where are u,,,,) but I just don't know who I can part with!!
I absolutely love Velma, Frita, Audie, Kiki, Bob, and Whitney and I'm on the fence with Dom and O'hare (I love O'hare but I don't know if I really just want what I had in my New Leaf town)

Anyone else just wanna keep cycling through villagers just to keep island hopping? (I have 40 nmt stocked up rn and I wanna use them but I also wanna save them for Island hopping)

It's basically like buying a lottery ticket, as you have a chance of getting a certain thing, but it's not guaranteed, so you keep buying them in hope you get what you want.

Yes! I was so happy when I came upon Audie on an island, especially because I had gotten Freya (And when I first saw Freya I thought she was Audie but then I was disappointed LOL)

I found Audie long ago when looking for Raymond and immediately that hunt for Raymond stopped lol.

Yup, gacha is the eternal hell I'm in and ACNH isn't helping that's for sure! I enjoy island hopping despite it being a bit tedious. I have a few villagers I'm willing to cycle out eventually so my hunt can begin again

gacha strikes again - i play a lot of games like cookie run that are just gacha basically lol its so tempting but at least its not real money in acnh lolol

Same here! I have 400 tickets and I'm going to try to use most of them tonight cause I'm gonna have 2 empty plots hehe~
It's really fun seeing who you get, especially when it's a really good/rare villager. I found Sherb on my very first ticket last night so I'm hoping I can get lucky again and find another one of the 8 new villagers, specifically Raymond or Dom.

Honestly ive barely done any island hopping and i really regret it. I got marina super recently from island hopping and it feels so much more rewarding than just buying her off someone. You get a real feeling of "i worked for this"
The majority of my current islanders were all bought and I think from now on im only gonna island hop for my dreamies!

This thread made me feel better that I'm not alone in this addiction. I have had so much fun island hopping and seeing which villager I get. It's like the same feeling I get when I open up a blind bag/blind box type item irl. It brings me so much joy but I keep finding villagers I want to keep with no space to put them in. It's a mess lol. Like I debated letting Audie move out of my town since I got her photo just to see if I could find her again on islands. Like...why am I like this? lol

thats exactly how i feel!! thats why i decided not to trade or purchase villagers from ppl and i kind of got rid of all my amiibo villagers cause i was like ehhhh i didnt work for them
