im addicted to island hopping

thats exactly how i feel!! thats why i decided not to trade or purchase villagers from ppl :D and i kind of got rid of all my amiibo villagers cause i was like ehhhh i didnt work for them
I keep seeing people selling my dreamies and im always tempted to go for it but i really want to work towards a town that i got myself! Not only for the satisfaction but also because none of them will have random clothes people have gifted them lol
I bought Dom off someone and he has a bunch of weird shirts he changes into every now and then and its kind of a pain

I've gotten complaints from friends that I've gifted villagers to (C'mon, they were free!) about them wearing custom designs from my island, especially when Raymond wears the Eboy beanies I made LOLOL

Its like the side effect of accepting villagers off others, people need to expect it. I dont think its talked about often enough

Yeah I didn't even realize they'd continuing wearing custom designs from my island until my friend showed me and its kind of like....why tho??

I love it too! If only I had the tickets and a vacant plot. I island hopped today, found Fauna, didn't invite her in hopes of better, ended up going with Tia, who is good, but just doesn't compare. I am now filled with regret...

I'm pretty sure I'd be addicted to island hopping as well once I get a lot of NMTs lel good thing I don't have that much Nook Miles yet

It’s like gambling that’s why. But I believe it’s also because getting new villagers is one of the best experiences in AC as a whole. For me at least, it’s the most exciting part. There’s so many villagers to meet and getting a new move in is just so exhilarating. I just wish that the islands is like the campsite in that there should always be villagers even if you have a full town and you can just invite them kick someone out if you find someone you like better.

oof me too. i haven’t been able to go island hopping in a few weeks since i have 10 villagers and i think i’m going through withdrawals lmao

Island hopping is proof that acnh is a gacha game. Luckily I got Skye on my first ticket when I went island hopping so I’ve never really experienced the addiction aspect, but once I move Huck out you bet I’ll spend a ton of tickets hopping.

i just found skye and im like AAAAAAa i already have 2 wolves but shes so cute ;0; why must island hopping do this to me

Me, I have about 100 nmts saved just so I can go island hopping for villagers once someone moves out of my town. It's really exciting to me.
