Apparently, my little spree of clearing trees has earned me the nickname of stump maker. I think I liked pro listener better.

Despite my higgledy-piggledy order of putting flowers down to line the paths in Hollowyn, I still managed to get several hybrids - 3 orange tulips, a pink cosmos, and a blue violet. I put the tulips at Rizzo's house. They look nice against his exterior and also go with the tulip/rose mix I have at mine. Maybe I'll see if I can breed up some orange roses to go around Sapphire's house, which would go nicely with her melon exterior.

I picked up the sculpted hedge and wooden mailbox for Flint's house. Still waiting on exteriors, roofs, a fence for Jett, and mailboxes, but it'll come.

Antonio begged me for an instrument center, and I told him I'd consider it. Honestly, it has a better chance than the illuminated heart Annabelle wanted.

Remember how I said Shari was so sweet and wonderful after selling me that nice painting last week? I take it all back! I ended up with a fake wild painting from her. At least it wasn't as expensive as the one Keaton sold me. I sent it back to her, so we'll see if it gets displayed in her house or if she shows some shame and disposes of it.

Also realized that the log bench is an Uchi suggestion, which means I need Shari to ping for it. I still want other zen items, so Rizzo needs to get on the stick, but yeah, Monkey-Girl needs to pull her weight.

That being said, I almost have all the cedar trees planted for my NE hideaway. I think I need 4 more trees. There's a rock right in the line, but I can actually work around it fairly easily, so it should be all right. Once the trees are all in, I'll plant flowers between the trees; I'm thinking white cosmos or lilies would be pretty, but I'll try things out. Down the road, it could be nice to plant my Jacob's Ladders in there.

Once that's done, I'll have to start hoarding cedar starts again to fill in around the rest of the northern area - west to Purrl's house, where I may fit in a hidden apple orchard, and down around the campsite, then continue on the other side of the train station for my mushroom forest leading to the secret beach.

Anyway, back to the present, Rizzo ran up to me yesterday to say that Eugene was talking about leaving. I found my rocker koala and told him it was a bad idea. He must have really wanted to hear that, because he spent the rest of the day giving me presents every time he saw me.

I got a nice potted ivy from Purrl after her visit the other day, and Keaton sent a hearth. A nice item, but I don't think so.

I've moved my Rococo sofa upstairs to the back room and added the matching wardrobe. I also placed a Ranch table that Cyrus refinished in white. I like the combination of those two series. The table makes the sofa look less stuffy and the sofa makes the table look a little more up-scale and less shabby chic (not that that's a bad thing, because I think a room of shabby chic would be cute, especially if it's paired with a light wallpaper and maybe a plank or old wood floor. I might have to save it for Sapphire's upstairs apartment, now that I think of it.

Lolly had her scheduled crisis about her catchphrase (bonbon) because she said Purrl has been telling her it's silly. I reassured her that it was not, so this morning she said she thought she might need a new greeting. I really like that you can just hit confirm on the old one and they think they've got something new. Thus, Lolly keeps her "hello, kitty cat" greeting. Stitches also asked for a new greeting. Since I plan to have him keep his Poo-bear catchphrase for as long as possible, I taught him "honey bear" for a greeting. I wish Antonio would ask for something, because "honk" is not a pleasant thing to hear all the time.

I did a little late-night hunting on the island the other day and nabbed a scarab beetle and a giant stag for the Museum. I think the only other late-night items are the tarantula and scorpion, but those need to wait until they come in season.

Still waiting for a Police Station to be suggested. I've been saving bells so it can be built quickly, once someone asks. Other than that, just trying to get Leif to start selling bushes, but I can't remember if he needs to be absorbed by the Nookling Bandits first or not.

I'd better go get my coffee from Brewster and then see what the shops are offering today. Bye!

Eugene. D: I had him for a while and he was super creepy with me. When he told me he wanted to move I was all for it, and then he said "That must mean you don't like me very much and I can't have that. I'm staying until we can be better friends!" ;-;

Oh villagers and their constant need for new things to say. xD If I tell them that their catchphrase is just fine, either later in the day or the next day they tell me they want a new one again. Though it is incredibly convenient that you can give them the same greetings over and over. d: "Howdy! I was thinking I need to spice up my life. Could you think of a new greeting for me to use?" "Sure, Buck. How about 'Howdy'." "Howdy! That's brilliant, you're the best!" Silly things.

And yeah, I believe when TIY gets built Lief will have a bigger shop area and start selling bushes! I also like the idea of combining a fancy series with a more casual series...I should try my hand at that since I have a bit of extra space in my Princess room.

I have to agree with you about the villagers. Everyone is always asking for a new greeting or catchphrase! Also, Sparro has rounded up a handful of villagers here in Shizen to have me change my nickname. D:

When Snake used to live in my town, every day for 5 consecutive days he asked to visit my house. I was relieved when he moved to my sister's town. ;)

Eugene can be a little creepy, as can Keaton. I think that's the Smug personality.

You're right about needing the next shop expansion for Leif. I guess I can keep planting trees, for now.

I think mixing a formal and casual series makes it more realistic; the formal stuff is nice, but we all want that squishy, broken-in chair to curl up in. :)

"Dearie" was not my favorite nickname, but it's definitely better than "E-honey". Sounds like a wanna-be rapper.

I haven't seen Snake before, but I looked him up and I don't blame you for wanting to be rid of him. He definitely looks creepy!
