Ill never get any nice villagers...

Which ones do you have? From random move ins I got Agnes and Gayle which I liked very much. 8 out of my 10 villagers comes from the campsite.
But, yeah, it's pretty hard to get nice villagers from random move ins. :/

Sort of. If you'd like to change this, use the new-character trick.
Before going on as mayor at the start of a new day, make a new character instead. Before doing anything else, look around for any plots. If you see a plot of a new villager you don't want, turn off without saving, then rinse and repeat til you get the one(s) you want. When you get one you want, plot your house etc til Isabelle saves for you. That's your new villager <3

TBH though there aren't "bad" villagers or "good" villagers lol, they're there for you to make friends with, they're not trophies xD

Are there at least dozens more 'nice villagers' besides the ones in your signature? I am not being sarcastic: if you are that particular about villagers, it would make a lot of sense for 'bad move ins' to overwhelm you. What are some of the worst 'bad move ins' you got?

Good advice by Honeyaura! do that villager reset trick, but I wouldn't rely on that to get a specific villager or it could take awhile. remember not to use this site to decide for you what villagers are good or bad, decide what ones you like for yourself. But yes, for random move-ins, I'm usually not impressed with what I get either

I did the plot reset trick to make sure nobody moved in too close to where I had my cafe planned, then Chadder turned up unexpectedly on someone else's unpacking day and put his house in the one spot I wanted clear. I don't even like Chadder.

To make things worse, the person unpacking was Hazel, and I chose her because I looked at the wrong page on the wiki and thought she was the cute Hazel rather than the... well, ugly one.

I could have had Phoebe. She's far cooler.

Lately, when I know someone will be moving in, I do the "new character" trick to make sure they aren't going to be putting their house in a horrible spot. I am not particular about where they go, but there's a few places I absolutely won't tolerate. The two times I got lazy and decided "naah, I'm sure they won't be in too bad of a place. they have the whole map afterall, the chances are low!" One of them put it exactly right in front of the town hall, and the other time, it was riiiight in front of my house. Boo! Lesson learned and Mairen tries not to be lazy anymore =p

in my old town, it was 50/50
now i'm only getting good villagers haha

Random move-ins are always a mixed bag. You're going to love some and hate some. In my experience, even the bad ones aren't so bad. You can end up liking them after interacting with them. If you don't, you can always move them out eventually and someone will probably like them.

If you're only after your dream villagers, then most random move-ins are going to be bad ones. There's 300+ possible villagers so the odds are against you. You can always try to do the reset trick to make sure you get some you don't hate or that they don't plot somewhere bad, but it's unlikely that you can do that to get only a small number of dream villagers (unless you're very lucky or don't mind spending hours resetting).

Do you really want to play ACNL? Or at least your current town? I'm not being sarcastic. You just keep posting with negative things about your town and the game. There are always going to be annoying things about it, that's just part of the game and it would be boring if there wasn't a challenge. If you're getting bored and your game feels like a chore, there's nothing wrong with taking a break from it. If it's your town that is the problem, you could get someone to hold your bells and items for you and reset for a better map and villagers, especially since your game corrupted so you're not that far into your new town.

I don't think that any of the move ins are 'bad' outside of personal preference.

I would personally count any of the 'bigger' animals such as horse or ape as a bad move in, simply because I prefer the smaller cuter animals.
Others might think the opposite.

In New Leaf, since I'm decorating my town, I stick to adopting/buying my villagers as lame as that is. I have had Wild World for at least 3 years now so I've already experienced the random move ins and guessing who I'd get. I want New Leaf to be different.
I still have Wild World for the random move ins too though, so I won't get bored. HOPEFULLY. :c
It took me a while to get a perfect town with villagers I liked. Then Bunnie moved and my town went downhill from there due to the lack of playing. :c Now I only have 8/10 villagers I like.

It's actually really easy if you adopt from cycling threads or reset your random move in till you get a pleasing one.

When I was cycling for Whitney (which has left me AGAIN) I got,Kevin,Astrid,Bam x 2,Katt,Lionel,Charlise,Paula,Bubbles,and Pippy I think.Pippy took forever. But it was a pain in the butt to get rid of Katt.

^ THAT.

Really, why leave yourself wide opened for disappointments?
Adopting from others, to me, is the best way to go.
I'd rather spend lots of time plot resetting for my desired villagers when I *know* they are the ones moving in,
versus having to, say, campsite reset or wasting time cycling out the unwanted ones.

Unless you prefer an 'organic' play style, and wanted to allow the game to make that decision for you,
then yeah, you probably don't need to worry about anything and just go with the flow. ^^
