If you trade villagers, does the villager mention the old town's name?

I know the villager will talk about their old town often, and I think mention the mayors name, but do they mention the old town's name?

I didn't know about this whole trading community when I named my town, and gave it an inappropriate name, haha. Too deep in to reset now though. :/

That's why I got rid of them.
They kept playing me their old town tune.

Amiibo cards are the best way to go, for an original villager, who won't talk about their old town. ^_^

when i got a void from another player, they mentioned the town name a lot. so sorry you're outta luck

Yep, they did.

Yes, they'll mention the town's name every time they speak about it. They might speak about the mayor or alt characters too, but it's rare.

They do, though I personally don't mind it. I actually think it's pretty neat.
