If You Have A New Villager, How Did You Get Them and How Long Did It Take?

Two of the new villagers, Dom and Reneigh are starter villagers so if you reset enough time you would find them so to answer your question as early as after choosing your map.

i got audie on my third nook miles ticket - so she was one of my three villagers that i built furniture for!

Reneigh - Randomly found on an island while looking for Raymond. Maybe 50 tickets in?
Judy - Second campsite visitor after the initial forced one.
Sherb - Randomly found on an island while looking for Raymond. Probably about 250 tickets in?
Audie - Adopted from a friend who was going to void her otherwise.
Raymond - Spent over 500+ NMT which took me three weeks to earn (6+ hours a day of hardcore grinding points).
EDIT: I also saw Dom, Megan and Cyd on islands but never invited them. Kinda regret not inviting Dom.

Found Raymond on an my 1st island tour (he resides in my main island)

Sherb was my 10th villager for my second island. I used around 15 NMT in total. Was not looking for him in particular.

I wasn't planning on getting four of the new villagers, but I'm happy to have all of them as permanent residents. I didn't plan on having Dom long term, but he won me over. I invested a lot of time into looking for Audie and Raymond before acquiring them, but I specifically traded for Sherb when I had a plot open instead of looking for him on mystery islands.

i got raymond after 300+ nook miles island visits and almost losing my sanity. i got audie today from someone who wanted a dreamie i happened to have the amiibo for!! i think i only got her because she was amiibo forced out and people are scared of the glitch, but i took the risk and got audie safely

My most recent was Molly who took about 11-12 nook mile tickets.. but I wasn't even looking for her. I'm looking for cat villagers preferably, especially Rosie, Ankha or Raymond, even Punchy if he makes an appearance.. but she was cute and I was getting tired. Getting her has me at 8 villagers so far, so I guess I still have 2 more chances, just need to make sure I farm even more nook miles for tickets than I did before.
