If you had to choose, would you pick Beau or Sherb?

Sherb. I never liked Beau, or got why he was cute in the first place. I still don't care about him to this day.

Deer design > goat design all day. I don't think either are especially unique, but I like Beau a lot.

Definitely Beau for me, I never had him in ACNL but I recently found him on an island and I fell in love. Plus I love natural looking villagers, I'm not a huge fan of Sherb's colors. If Sherb had more natural colors like white with spots or a cream color he'd probably be a mega dreamie for me! His face is really cute, especially for a goat.

It depends on the theme for your island. Also I try not to have villagers with similar houses, which is why Beau and Flora would be a bad combination.

I don’t really have a theme for my island. I’m more or less going to develop it very slowly over the course of the year. I don’t want more than 2 lazies though as I want to have a decent variety of personalities. Makes it feel more lively that way imo.

I'd go with Beau. Sherb is really cute, but Beau was one of my villagers in new leaf and I loved him!

Beau! Sherb is definitely a cutie but my sister's favorite villager is Beau so I've had him in my town/island (depending on game) a lot to surprise her with him, and that nostalgia/appreciation I developed for him over time is why he wins. I've never had Sherb nor have really met him at all, so Beau wins.

Sherb! I’ve got him in my town and he’s such a cutie. I love his light blue design. Think I might keep him for a long time if not forever!

I do believe his newness is certainly inflating his popularity a bit, but there are villagers that are still quite popular that have relatively simple designs like Apollo and Fauna.

I typically don’t use popularity to determine what I like. However, I’m a very indecisive person, so I’m using this thread to get a feel for what people like about them.

Sherb. I had them both at the same time via island trips.
Had to move someone out to make room and...I picked Beau. I had him in New Leaf for a long time so I was okay letting him go where Sherb is new so...

Beau used to be my dreamie back in NL and I still love him! But Sherb dethroned him quick... sure his home playing K.K. hypno is creepy but he's just the absolute cutest. He's cuter to me than Beau so I ended up getting Sherb and let go of Beau. I tend to like more natural or simple designs so that was part as to why I loved Beau a ton. Even though Sherb will stick out in my forest island I don't mind, he's worth it!

I have Beau if my main new leaf town and I decided to explore other villagers I've never had. Right now I have Sherb who is never leaving and I just love him so much more that Raymond.

I have both of them currently living on my island, but whenever Étoile is added into NH, I'll be moving out Sherb to make room for her.

I considered keeping both of them, but they both have the same exact personality sub-type/talk-type and hobby.
