If you could have any Pokemon in your party what would they be?

Basically the name says it all. I would also like to know:

• What gender would they be?
• Would give your party nicknames as well?
• Which Pokemon would be Shiny, maybe none at all?
• Their move sets and natures?

I am just curious, it may tell me a bit about you newbies as well.
