If you could add any type of villager interaction what would it be?

Hugging and sitting down with villagers (especially if friendship levels are high)

Minigames for sure

I wish villagers could dive, it would be adorable to see them in wetsuits and snorkels!

Villagers jumping into conversations with me and other villagers

Maybe have the option to “give them tips” on what to wear or have in their home, especially if they have stuff that doesn’t look great, or stuff you specifically purchased for them but they don’t use often

I’d also love to cook or eat with my villagers, sing, etc. Just more simple interactions like that would be awesome

Do stuff with villagers relating to their hobbies, like if your villager likes to read, we could read a book together. Stuff like that

Loved the flea market and am also missing house visits. Maybe even an option to invite them to hang out with you outside? Would be limited based on how your island is set up, but I’d love to walk around with one of my villagers instead of praying I see them sitting at a table.

I remember villagers would run into the randomly spawned ball in ACPG so I would like to see more item interaction. Chilling in the outdoor bath, sitting near the picnic blanket and enjoying their sandwich there, and introducing more usable Nook shop-based “Public Works” items.

I saw someone carry around a floor cushion with them to sit where their villagers were. That has been working well.

Hugs, high fives, holding hands, home invites, play tag, play trivia, singing and swimming together, rolling on the ground, etc.

I know this might be weird, but I wish I could hug or high five my villagers. I really love interacting with them, but being limited to waves is sad once friendship levels get high

I agree with the hug aswell. Some of my villagers are really fun and bouncy and I would love to hug them

I really wish we could invite villagers to our house. It would be nice if we could organize a small gathering with not only one but two or three villagers, too. Honestly, I just don't understand why villagers are not even able to come over at random times anymore.

While I would love for them to be able to visit my home, I'd also love for them to participate in the tourneys! How fun would it be to catch bugs/fish with them? They always get ready for the events then don't participate! I'd also really love to swim with them too!

I miss visiting my villagers' houses or have them come to mine. I also miss bringing a villager to someone else's house, as requested by them, or playing hide-and-seek, to name but a few.

I'd like to play to more things than just treasure hunt, and with the summer update they could add new things (like for example, a diving competition between you and some villager(s)). And also when they asked to meet at some time in their/my home. And since they said they were going to be more interactive than ever, they could add new things, like going fishing together, going to the store to help them buy something...

Hugging would be lovely, they all deserve a big hug.

But gameplay-wise I'd love to have way more errands again. I know other people found them boring after a while, but I always enjoyed the villager interaction/fetch quest type nature of it. I'd love to get more convoluted ones too, like the big trading quest in Wild World for.. the golden axe I believe? But then things like that between villagers, maybe even over multiple days, or with specific things to craft for them. Especially if you're then rewarded with some longer dialogue that is rare, so it feels like something entire new and unique to that villager.

It's sad that they got rid of a lot of the interactions we had with villagers before. And even the treasure hunt is really rare - I think I've done it twice since release. Do you think they'll bring any of it back?

I want my villagers to come back to my home sometimes. They say stuff about hanging out together but don't have any interaction of that type.

Villagers visiting my house and asking me to visit theirs, villagers asking me to get other villagers to sign a petition, villagers asking to play hide and seek and look for another villager and then bring them to them, villagers requesting fruit so I don't ruin their houses with fish/bugs. This is all from NL. Also I think it would be cool if every villager had their own unique backstory (like for example, having marshal talk about how he always wanted to own a coffee shop) or hobby or something that relates to their species cuz at the moment it feels like everyone within the same personality is the same. I don't understand why lazies are constantly talking about bugs, but this would make sense if the anteaters talked about them.

I want the lost key back! It was kind of funny seeing my villagers wandering around there house looking for something.
I also want hide and seek back. That was fun.
I think I would add a decorating interaction. Where they ask you about decorating and you come to their house and pick furniture for them. I think that would be pretty cool.
