If the tier list was updated....

I could always reopen one I used to make and update it regularly... it should probably be renamed though due to some people believing this is personal choice rather than it being a chart for how much they could sell for.

I think poor Pietro will forever be somewhere at the top of Tier 2.

idk, it's just this game is so old and people are really losing interest that I think it's hard for the Tier list creators to update it

(also don't look at me I'm totally not one of those people what are you talking about)

but I agree with Shari getting more popularity because of Chuggaconroy. Although it's been a while since the series ended again

That's very true. The series ended a few months before last Christmas.

Walker would be in the lowest one. I haven't seen anyone mention him on here for months.

That would be cool. I enjoyed doing it for the most part.

Since I'm a dog villager fanatic, I'll rank them based on which ones I have seen the most around here lately

1. Lucky
2. Cherry
3. Bones
4. Cookie
5. Daisy
6. Goldie
7. Shep
8. Mac
9. Portia
10. Butch
11. Benjamin
12. Maddie
13. Bea
14. Biskit
15. Walker
16. Marcel

Probably inaccurate, but I don't recall seeing the two welcome amiibo ones mentioned around here often.

Amiibo cards changed everything. Nobody updates the tier lists anymore. :( But there's still a way you can find out where a villager would rank on an updated tier list...just look up their average amiibo card price on somewhere like ebay. It's weird but true. Try it for yourself! Go to ebay, type in 'X amiibo card'(but instead of letter X you put the villager name). Then change it to 'buy it now', and 'sold items' in the options list, so you don't get any auctions. Then look through the list. Generally, you'll find that the more popular a villager is, the higher the average price of their card.

Generally I've found:
$20+: tier S,
$19-$12: tier 1,
$11-$8: tier 2
$7-$5: tier 3
$4-$2: tier 4
<$2: b.o.t.b (bottom of the barrel)

- This only works for series 1-4.

- Sanrio stuff are in a class of their own.

- This doesn't work for WA, because it means that no WA villager can ever reach tier 1 or S class. WA cards need weights, or their own tier list. They're much rarer than 1-4, so they'll always cost more, even the unpopular ones.(Example: WA villager Boyd. Average price for Boyd is about $6. With no weights he'd be considered a tier 3, but considering he's WA, he's a b.o.t.b villager. Compare that to a card like WA villager Stella, who is $25 average. With WA weights she's a tier 2.)

This is just a guideline; it's NOT perfect, so your mileage may vary. Generally speaking though, it works. It's how I've been figuring out how much to trade for villagers since the WA update.

The biggest problem is with the Welcome Amiibo update, it literally adds about.. 62 new villagers on top of the 333 vanilla New Leaf Villagers.. it's a lot for a single person to update, as pretty much every tier list is run by a single person. Doesn't help that they're all inactive now from what I've seen as well.

Obviously, Julian and Marshal will always be top because 1. Julian is a friggin' UNICORN, and 2. Marshal for his sloppy set.

I honestly think perhaps Rudy has gone up a bit? I don't really care about the tier list, because I love all villagers, mostly unpopular ones. (except for a few that I hate).

I thought more people would want Freckles tbh, she's at the bottom ):

Yeah. It's why I started using direct card prices in the first place. It was hard enough with just the 300+ original villagers, but then with 60+ news ones who all need a card/figurine(not including hacks) to be seen in game...it over-complicates everything. :/ And to make stuff even more complicated some of the WA villagers can move from town to town while others can't. How do you rank those? It's just confusing.
