Pokémon if the mascot of pokemon was changed?

what if the mascot of pokemon was cubone instead of pikachu? how would that be?
please let me know
cubone is just such an adorable sad pokemon I feel so bad for it ;_; cubone is cute because
1. he is an orphan pokemon his mother died when he was born.
2.he is so sad and lonely.
3.he looks so cute and cuddly but sad and lonely at the same time.
4.he is just a baby pokemon and baby pokemon are just so adorable.

I don't think it makes much difference to most people of who the mascot is. Pikachu is popular because of Pokemon, not the other way around.

Fun fact! It's pretty likely that the pokemon mascot was going to be a Clefairy, but due to a few last minute changes in the pokemon anime, Clefairy was replaced with Pikachu.

the reason why I would like cubone to be the mascot of pokemon is because he is just way more cute than pikachu

I agree Pikachu is boring, but I'm not sure who a good mascot should be. Charizard maybe? He's so cool he got 2 megas.

Pikachu, can't you at least evolve? Raichu is way cooler.

The only reason pikachu is popular is because he's the mascot I think he is very overrated but I don't know who would be a better mascot tho :/ maybe one of the ledgendary pokemon like mewtwo or mew
