If a starting villager moves to another island will they have their upgraded house?

I have Sherb on my second island, he was my third villager so lives in his starter house. I want to move him to my main island, when he moves will he have his upgraded house?

I'm not too sure about that. I just received a new villager from the island of a friend of my sons, and he (Mac, a jock) arrived with his default house as described in the wiki. Right away he told me that he moved from my sons friends island, and at one point he mentioned that the shirt he was wearing was given to him by my sons friend, but his house fits the wiki description of how it should be exactly. None of my starters had their exact default house furnishings. Based on that experience, I'm sorry to say that I don't think they'll keep the stuff that you gave them when they move. Please post if it works out different for you.

Yes, you'll get his nice baby blue house, hehe. I have Sherb in mine, he's pretty cool!
