Ideas for secondary character houses?

Has anyone on here created a second/third/fourth etc profile in order to have another house on their island? I’ve made a pub kind of building and I’d like to add some more but I’m kinda stuck for ideas at the moment.
I’ve considered a cafe, but I’m holding onto the belief that we’ll get a cafe update and I don’t want two cafes aha

Yes but it is going with my theme of “the magicians show” so it has rooms that are relevant to his character in the show. My main character’s house isn’t themed. I have an outdoor cafe but previously had it in my main character’s attic.

I haven't made an alt character for New Horizons, myself, but here is what comes to mind for me! Maybe a florist, or a greenhouse? Or-- assuming you don't already have a similar area outside-- maybe a little farmer's market, shop-type building? Using things like the fruit basket DIY, and so on

Depending on what your personal style is, maybe that's not helpful, but I hope you find an idea you like!

I have so many ideas! Right now my three extra houses are a garden center, neighborhood coffee shop, and mountain cabin. Other things I’d like to do include: bed and breakfast, bakery, cafe, concert house, library, and pet store. Maybe one of these will inspire you!

i have two tents (my sibs) and am prob gonna upgrade them to houses to make a mini-neighborhood? idk lol

I just added two more profiles to Evwirt for thematic reasons (I can’t mention the themes just yet as I want to keep them a secret). I’m keeping one as a tent and the other I’m going to upgrade to have one extra room. Just a warning: if you want to display your tent character they cannot wear pro design clothes as you HAVE to have a house for pro designs.

Yes! I made a school/university complete with lecture halls for english, math, and science courses. I also made a doctor's office and a post office. I'm planning to put another tier 1 house on the beach and making it a surf shack/beach bar.

Thanks everyone, these ideas are all great and I’m feeling very inspired! I might have to make 3 or 4 extra profiles instead of just one because there are so many great ideas this should keep me going for a while aha

I currently have... six? Additional player houses in the works; a café next to Nook's because I needed the space filled, a Dutch-style townhouse in the more "upper-class" part of my two-tiered neighbourhood, a secret hideout for Redd's y̶a̶k̶u̶z̶a̶ ̶r̶e̶l̶a̶t̶i̶v̶e̶s̶ I mean his very nice friends that help him with his art and such, a scientist's lab near the museum, and an observatory because the star-themed furniture is by far the best in this game and I miss Celeste, and a little tent on my beach campsite to indicate another camper.

Don't know if I'm going to go for the full eight like I initially was planning on, because I don't really know what to turn it into. I was thinking maybe some sort of university founded by the museum with different courses in archaeology, bug..ology... and uh, fishology. Or something like that. But maybe that's too much for my already busy museum area.

Another idea was making a house to function as sort of a realistic portrayal of a permanent NPC's living quarters. Like making a home for the Nook family and Isabelle because where the hell are they sleeping at? It'd also be really fun to decorate it to fit their characters

I also work with 6 characters at the moment. My main and just 5 extra. I've made a pub, a pet shop, a library, a flower shop and the last one is just a tiny extra as being a shack in the flowergarden with all tools in it and where grandpa lives But I still haven't finished all the rooms. Especially the library is still a lot of work in the extra rooms

Ah yes! I remember designing a house for the ables sisters in happy home designer, such a great idea as it’s fun to think about their little home lives

They all look so good! It’s great to see them in action, definitely think I’m going to do a library and a little flower shop like you and others have suggested.

so back in march i shared my island with my gf so after she got her own switch i turned her player into a witch and her house into a witches house

I reeeeaaally wanted a farm land with someone actually living there, but it just didn't match my current island rep's style so I made a new character. Their house is all woodsy, naturey and going to have lots of space for plants and maybe actual crops if the data mining is correct and we get actual crops.
